Yes but in older updates you had one window for the pictures and one window for the tools and layers. In the latter, you can switch between layer options and tool options, in the lower half of the window.

Anyway, back to topic. I said that i would write a paint net tutorial, but as you can see it was a total bluff... Sorry about that!
But JSEADOG, i make you a deal: I will write a pants tutorial after i finish work and done my race prep tomorrow and in turn you write me a nice Paint.Net tutorial somwhat like the Gimp one,, since you have quite some experience in working with paint net and I admittedly dont! How about that? you could even include stuff from the tutorial for the shorts...

I have started the guide for Paint.NET and I am trying to make it complex, so be patient while I work on it. It will be downloadable for Microsoft Word, but I will also create screenshots to post on here.

how do you get those layers on the gimp tutorial when i open it it is just 1 layer

You draw the shapes with the shape tool and then you press ctrl*C and ctrl*V and then you creatd a new layer... In order to import something (like a plis) open the plis either in a new window or by using the option: Open as layer

Yes. But there is one if ou follow the download link in the second (?) post where i created a basic psd. file. The one in there has stichings on it to lead to a specific shorts type...
And thus by overcomplicating my self once again: Yes, it works fine, as do all the files!
