None of them is going to make it in the peloton above Mont Saint-Clair.

It could be a sprint involving the strongest climbers among the sprinters. Sagan is the evident name here.

Nice that I'm the 10th guy to mention sprinters, and the first you answer this to. Wink

Looks like 2k at 7% or so? Can't find out details on this profile.
Would be definately difficult for them if OGRE and Liquigas up the pace there, but if they want to survive Box Hill multiple times...

Either way, it adds some spice to the stage.

Another Sagan vs Goss battle, then. Tony Gallopin is the French rider with the best chances to win tomorrow, curious to see how he'll go.

According to letour.fr, it's 1.6 kilometers averaging at 10,2%.

I agree Cav won't make it, but when ascended Saint Clair, there are still 23 kilometres left.. Greipel will probably make it, and if he don't, Lotto will pick him up aswell as Cav up. They seem extremely motivated to get Greipel another victory. Or, at least Lars Bak does Smile

I think Sagan will take the stage. He looks very strong at the moment.

Call me brave or call me insane, probably bordering on the latter at the moment, but I'll go with Goss to finally nab a stage win. Probably wrong, but got a feeling he might though unlike every other day.

So Sagan for the win then Pfft

I think Greipel vs. Cav. If the sharp hill is too much for these two, then Goss vs. Sagan again, hopefully they are not too much pissed because of yesterday and will have fair competition...

I'll be back

You were the last one when I wrote. Nothing personal.
I might turn out to be wrong as well, though from memory, and checking the profile again, if the peloton is riding at full steam, it will be a slaughterhouse.

A random mouth-breather threw a flare at Wiggins and hit him on the arm.
Some people are too stupid to exist, really.

Mont Saint Clair will be hell, but if Cav wants that Olympic RR Gold then it's the kind of thing he'll want to get over. If he doesn't think he can do it, then expect Sky to ramp up the pace to try and create splits.

A good test to see if Cav's weight loss is worth anything at all. Without those 4kg he might be able to haul himself up.

Hadn't noticed that it was that Mont Saint-Clair. Hope Liquigas pulls like crazy there, the last 20km could get interesting then. Specially if there's any wind.

It is. Cool But it's too far from the finish for my liking.

Anyway, BOD :
Pablo Urtasun (Euskaltel)
Samuel Dumoulin (Cofidis)
Matthieu Ladagnous (FDJ)
Roy Curvers (Argos)
Michael Morkov (Saxo Bank)
Jimmy Engoulvent (Saur)
Maxime Bouet (AG2R)

Then Jérôme Pinault is chasing.

Europcar will not be happy to miss the break.

Since I sleept to long today too, Cav will probably win since I was going to bet on him..

There was a time, not so long ago, when they'd have chased it, just to not allow a break with other French teams riders to go.
The fact they've already won two stages and that the break might be caught before Mont Saint-Clair probably rules that idea out though.

True. Surely one of them will try on Mont Saint-Clair though.

Radioshack are riding with slightly yellow helmets today, I think. They look a lot better than Sky's, although I still don't really like the idea.
