Some great races for Rafal to take part in Wink

TomC
Updated the first post:
- current stats,
- calendar,
- goals,
- results.

This story will start for sure, but you have to wait for the final patch and final PCMdaily DB Wink

Ian Butler
Won't he race any preparation races for the NC?

sutty68
Two Grand Tours are really going to take it out of him Frown

TomC
@Ian Butler: There is no place for any other races. He will have 45 race days after Giro and still Vuelta to ride, where he will help Contador Wink

@sutty: He is just helping Contador on Vuelta and 25th place isn't too much to expect Wink

FreitasPCM
That's a nice calendar, and he shouldn't finish the season all rotten despite riding two Grand Tours. Pfft

TomC
So, after 4 hours and 34 minutes of downloading, I've got the final version of the Daily DB!! Get ready for the first report maybe even tomorrow Wink

sutty68
Nice, can't wait Wink

Ian Butler
Great news Wink

TomC
I'll do detailed reports for Rafal's races, short reviews of Pro Tour races and only results of the other races. So here are results of Australian NC's Wink

Evans dominating both TT and RR!

sutty68
Not too unusual to see Evans on the podium in Australia Wink

YvesStevens
Hmm Evans winning the TT is expected but at the RR he's normally not really attending breakaways or even trying to win

TomC
The breakaway has been chased 2 laps to go, so Evans just attacked on the final climb and was too strong for everyone Wink

Santos Tour Down Under - Review

Team result:

It was a quiet beginning of the season for Team Saxo Bank - Tinkoff Bank. We had some top 10 finishes:
- Cantwell - 10th on Stage 3 and 5th on Stage 6,
- Morkov - 4th on Stage 4.
Morkov was our best rider in GC - 13th position. We finished the race on the 4th position in a team ranking.

GC

The winner is Johnny Hoogerland (Vacansoleil). He won the 5th stage and took the leader jersey from Michael Matthews (Rabobank - he led the race after the 1st stage). The second place goes to Dimitriy Muravyev (Astana), who was the only one able to follow Hoogerland on stage 5 and they finished 29 seconds in front of the peleton.

Tour de San Luis - Results

Team results:

We didn't have anyone to fight for the GC in this race, so we focused on sprints. J.J. Haedo was one of the strongest sprinters and he wanted to get the Points jersey in his home race. He did very well winning first two stages, then on the stage 6 he was second and 9th on the last stage (won by a breakaway). This results were enough to win the Points jersey with 6 points over Dumoulin (Cofidis).
