nice choice, i'm also starting a Career with MTN, but as i'm South African i have added a few extra South African Riders that were unfortunately not in the Database. Like Darren Lill and Waylon Woolcock.
Hopefully the database you will be using as more South African Riders.
Looking foward to it. |

MTN is definitely my favorite cycling team (know a few of them personally) and i follow them closely in real life so your story should be interesting! Just a note Reinie and Jakes aren't related waiting for DB's etc and maybe ill start an MTN 2013 story but from pro conti level, as thats where they riding next year! |

Great looking story, I have been following Reinhardt Janse van Rensburg's progress this year, and I am hoping to see him at a pro tour team next year. Can't wait to read it.

Why play on extreme?
It just makes you riders tire out earlier than they should. It doesn't make the AI smarter. Just lowers your riders' stats. |

But think - setting extreme difficulty is much faster than lowering your rider's stats

Complete reactions to your posts are coming later, but this one I'd like to answer fast:
@Likkivi: Extreme because hard is more “too easy“ than extreme is “too hard“.
I have experiences with 2011, where I won the CT with Rick Zabel (72 SP), who dominated the flat races he peaked for without significant help on hard.
The .2 races this year are even less contested with, as I already said, RJ van Rensburg a favourite on nearly every terrain.
A short test gave me 5th on a .2 hilly stage with van Niekerk, who only became my leader with 10k to go.

@aidanvn13:
Thanks again
@whitejersey:
Nice to have you as another (hopefully) follower.
@Spronx:
I'll use the Daily DB, so I guess there aren't many added since the OfficialRelease. I might have a look into young rider creation if there won't be some promising young talents from Africa.
@Boet:
That is absolutely new to me
I actually didn't check, but I thought this name was too rare to be a coincidence. So they're not related at all?
And I definately plan to be Pro Continental next year as well
@brownwm:
Yeah, he's surely one of the reasons I like this team and chose it. He is a great rider for this level of competition, and he even beat Lars Boom recently!
@rorzcp:
So even more having this name, obviously it's not as rare as I thought
@Alakagom:
Thanks for helping me, and doing so in far less words
@aidanvn13:
I actually planned on waiting with a stats screen until we know the stats I'll play with, so not until the release of the Daily DB.
I can actually imagine they won't chance much, if they do at all.

@cio93. I would consider changing and boosting some stats, especially Reinardt's. Also, increase his potential as he surely is South Africa's next Robbie Hunter(or better). Jacques is an excellent mountainbiker and as we've seen with mountainbikers, they are strong climbers and time trialists. Guys like Niyonshuti can climb well too, as they come from high altitudes(Rwanda). He too is a strong mountainbiker. Jani Tewelde had really good results in hilly and flat stages in the Tour de Langkawi. Numerous top 10's and one or two top 5's.
The thing about this team is, they aren't used to European racing. Give them a few months to adjust and you'll see their stats increase greatly. Here in South Africa the level of under 18 cycling (mtb and road) is extremely high, but there's a big problem with elite and under 23. I think you'll see an increase in the quality of South African cyclist over the next years.
Finally, (Janse) van Rensburg is a common surname in South Africa. (It's an Afrikaans surname)
Sorry for the lecture!!! |
