Very well done report ember, can't imagine how look that took to race and report. Really enjoyed it even tough I wasn't competing.
Congrats to Spanish neighbor Santander for the win.

Great report. Uran needs to go on some winter training I think

Awesome report ember. The race was quite good, impressive team effort by Santander to bring Madrazo to the front, and he delivered when it mattered. Congrats to Santander/mb.

Clearly a Euphemism that means "sold to Cal Giant for dirt cheap."

Not really what i had hoped for, but in PCM11 it seems the best climber always win, which wasn't always the case in the PCM we used before this. (Kind of the reason i picked this goal).
Ow well, as long as i keep scoring points, i'll be happy.

Nice report! I think that was one of the cooler races of the season.
Not looking good for us though. Eire, Mendrisio, and Lombardia are really our only chances for points for the rest of the year. Amador, Gomez Marchante, and Marquez are all done

5th is alright, but Webeffect did better ... and I'm dead-last, so it's getting somewhat embarrassing now |

Super report again ember, Madrazo shows again that he is superior to all but Cunego. Not quite as dominent as he is in his home country but definately Santanders meal ticket!
ToNE and Herbiers are going to see Cancellara scoring points, Eire is going to be a lottery - is Roelants there? Carmeuse I imagine are going to gain on Webeffect and Colombia - but how much before Cunego at Lombardie?

Very strong result by Contador. He really made the race his, but in the end he just couldn't keep up with the two favorites. I had seen that coming though, and I'm very happy with 3rd. I'm a bit dissapointed with Serpa in 33 though. I had hoped he would have been in that 17 man chase group. He should have been.
I reckon there aren't enough points in it here to really make a difference though, so I'll probably still be in huge problems getting 5th overall. Better than expected though!

Really great report there - very enjoyable.
Enjoyed seeing Abal beat Gomez Marchante. Looking at the 700 point gap with ToNE on the horizon, it is probably time to start sweating again.... |

And there it is. I hope you enjoy the reports as much as I enjoyed playing it. And for those interested, here's the list of riders that couldn't make it to the finish line, due to crashes or falling outside the time limit:
Colombia
Ivars
Ivars is another rider who seems quite partial to hitting the deck I'm noticing. |

Amazing, I was sure after all the work that he would be a let down, but Madrazo has paid off big time this year.
Now though I have a slow decline down the rankings until the end of the season.

Yeah two spots... I doubt you'll go down further than that.

The next race is seriously interesting. Very short and explosive stages from day one. I can't wait to see who will be in it, and whether or not the good sprinters can compete in the "hillier" stages.
I have Ulissi combined with Lavoine in the race. Hopefully Ulissi will stay close to the finish in the flat stages, while Lavoine can use his sprint to get a lucky result, and then the team NEEDS to leave Lavoine the hell alone, and let Ulissi try.

I'm happy you liked the report, it took some time writing it, but it was a great race to play, and I felt it deserved a detailed report.
For the ranking, the battle for 5th should be interesting, as it's incredibly tight between 5th and 14th. |
