Great win for Boonen there and a great first report by kumazan. I eagerly await roturn's response to Vantomme's latest result.
Seems like someone needs to find a new team...
It was a perfect race for me until 3km to go.
Kunitski super strong in the breakaway, was probably the perfect rider to join. Vantomme still there and did not fall back. But then the AI totally fucked up the race by not setting a decent sprint. Hope PCM12 will be a bit better there in some occasions.
At least Hermans rescued the race with a brilliant top10. Nothing more to expect actually as Continental team. On the other hand I had Vantomme...
Boonen and Beweley the only real sprinters.

Wow, Burghardt sprinting to 4th and Steegmans/Van Stayen attacking. Seems totally legit.
I'm happy with the 4th place, although, the AI did fuck up for my team.
Also, great report!
Yeah, the AI was weird in general, with your team, and possibly Sony Ericsson as well, being the clearest example.

Really nice report, kumazan!
Boonen was by far the fastest, but the messy sprint definitely favoured him. Seems like most of the sprinters didn't even try.
Oh, but they did try. Both Swift and Roelandts for instance were boxed by a dozen of classics riders sprinting, obviously, much slower than them. And Steegmans and Van Stayen were cooked after their attacks. Vantomme, well, no comment.

Surprised the race proved so selective really - was it windy?
Not windy at all. The peloton splitted because the last climb of the Waseberg was very fast, and a Jack Wolfskin rider was in the wrong place, as they didn't seem to bother much with the race, and opened a gap.

Super ride that from Machado - visible in the break and a Top 25 finish.
Poor finish to the race just letting Boonen jump away like that.
As alex said, nicely reported though, kumazan.

2nd place behind Boonen again, that's great.
The next season should be (hopefully ) a little bit more interesting, as Boonen is going to worse a little bit in all attributes.

Strong result from Ulissi. I wonder what Pozzato/Ulissi combi could have done. 3rd, 13th, 15th and 22nd is very nice though.

Hahaha, UBS didn't even have a single guy in the peloton! I bet we lost a few places in the team standings here...
