With quite a few riders getting national bonuses, will be interesting to see how this goes down. It'd be cool to see Uran or Henao beat Ricco and Cunego

Guerao 81
Richeze 80
Castaneda 80
Meyer 80
M. Rowe 80
Farrar 79
Vanderaerden 79
Kreder 78
Weylandt 78
Hutarovich 78
Impey 78
Sonnery 78
Well, that's quite a weak field of sprinters. These two stages which should end in a sprint finish for them, should be a nice oppurtuninty for some of these riders, but Matt Rowe should be the clear man to beat here.

A diabolical opening stage for JRB no-one in breakaway and 5 caught in split - it can only get better from here!
In truth Gadret being dropped could be a blessing in disguise should lead to more attacks.
Cunego and Ricco though took a big advantage here in the overall with a few others.

I was thinking that Ricco might snatch a podium place in one of the sprints, but then i remembered. Cunego is Ricco, just better in everything .

That's sooo dirty tactics by Wiggle. Shame on you.
Although it did cause a surprise second for Fouquet, Meyer was in perfect position for the win until Rowe screwed all.

Cunego going for the bonus seconds already... there is no way he won't win this.

Damnit. Really looking forward to seeing Uran here against the GT winners, and chances gone already. Will probably be injured now aswell.

Haha! Quality. Or should I say Matt Rowe's lack of quality played into my hands! Superb stuff by Pavarin, and far more than I expected out of this race already. Sweet.

That's real tough luck on Uran. Seems that the number of crashes is limited, but proportion of GC contenders affected much higher than it should be.
Good showing from Cunego - though I'd rather see Castaneda finishing ahead of him in the first flat stage of the race. |

I send Guerao here, he's the best sprinter comfortably, we do all the work on the front, and then he messes up both his chances.

Kreder!
Also, good effort by Sieberg to take third.

If Machado lets go of the peloton when Leezer gets dropped on the next stage I'm going to be extremely pissed.

It's been a poor start - there were oppurtunities in the opening stages but absolutely nada.
I hope JRB are just getting used to the conditions!

Nice win for Henao. If he keeps this up in the mountains he could fight it out for the win.

More oddity from Colombia - at one stage things looked very interesting for Gadret and Moreno.
I felt the really big favourites would wait until the final stages - but expected it to be a obscure breakaway rider rather than a sub favourite. Excellent win for Henao - has he an outside chance for an overall podium?
I hope for more attacking riding from my team in the next five stages.

Sweet riding by Pedraza. I like that he takes the leader role over Kohl.
