Holloway is set as a leader of USA it´d be awesome scenario seeing Rujano into BOTD and Holloway winning in final sprint if break won´t succeed

Would love to see an American victory, Phinney and Dave Z both have a great shot at the tt. Also an interesting US team that has some guys that can animate the race if they decide to be aggressive. If not, Van Heerden and Goss from Wikipedia will have a decent shot in a sprint. Holloway could be close but hard to see him pulling off the win.

Seems a bit early for a big gun to up front, but yes it is interesting to see Wegmann, Bibby and Gesink forward good tactics from the Northern European countries.

Took some time to see a German rider, but i´m glad Wegmann is in the breakaway. Now they just have to stay away to the finish and then Wegmann will win the sprint easily.

Not too happy about that fast first third of the race, but I hope PCM gives the domestiques the boost it often does in my careers.

And that was why I gave my vote to Venezuela. Exciting to see Alarcon up there, I hoped he or/and Rujano should try to go for the breakaway/attack on Box Hill, and Alarcon doesn't disappoint. But the peloton looks to control it pretty well, the final kilometers will be very interesting. Will it be a sprint, or will a late attack grab the glory? |

Was good to see the US try to make the break, little disappointing Summerhill didn't manage to sneak in there. Hoping for some late attacks from the Americans. Goss could do well in the sprint.

Great report - enjoyed the read. I thought for a few crazy minutes Duque was going to win it from the break.
I'd also like to give myself a pat on the back for playing a part in the Italian selection and picking the winning rider. |

Great report, and great winning move by Pozzato while the big favourites were preparing the sprint. Really enjoyable race, and well done to Mugerli for giving some presence to the Slovenian team.

x2
Awesome report, as detailed and thrilling as it could be.
Well done Pozzato, the big breaks in the beginning really affected the outcome here.
Although I'm a bit disappointed by Bennati, an Italian winning Gold compensates it a bit. Actually, I rank the PT races we participate in higher.

I better get promoted now. A CT wage cap won't fit Pozzato's ego.

Brilliant reporting. Bakelants was a monster and his strength seemed to throw the race into a bit of chaos.

That was incredible reporting! Congrats to Pozzato!
The TT should be up within the next 36 hours though I suspect it will take me hours of writing so it is hard to be sure.

Great reports, mb! And that was a great race, with a super strong Bakelants, he really blew it apart on Box Hill, only to control the race by himself to the moment Pozzato attacked. |
