Rollin and Veilleux Sign On
Rockstar Toronto have secured the signatures of two of Canada's highest-profile riders, cobbler Dominque Rollin and TT prospect David Velleux. Both coming in the 10th and 11th rounds respectively, the two are close friends, and the third and fourth Canadians to join the team so far.
"Dominque is probably my favourite rider so far on this team. He will excel greatly on the cobbles, as well as being a great sprinter so he can't go wrong. As with David, the sky's the limit for him." said DS TTC.
Asked about their roles in the squad, "Both will definitely ride the Canadian Classics. Dominique will be our number one domestique on the cobbles too, so a big season for him. As for David, it's all about learning and improvement, but with his skills I'm sure he'll get his chances.."

The Rockstar Toronto DS's short news summary of the past events.
Lagutin and Lacombe Join the Team
The team is absolutely stoked to sign up two of the best riders available right now, Sergey Lagutin (who was on the radar of VI-SigaarSnor) and Keven Lacombe, who joins our ever-growing Canadian contingent. Lagutin, the Uzbeki Road Champion, is a terrific climber. He will ride for himself a lot all year, starting in January (more info below). As for Lacombe, he is a third or fourth-string sprinter who has set a few early season stage races as his goals. Both are great acquisitions.
Nibali will ride Tirreno
Vincenzo Nibali will ride the Tirreno-Adriatico, and aims to win it. Nibali, whose No.1 season goal is to wear the Pink all the way to Milan in the Giro, will be our leader, hoping that the hilly profiles and time-trial kilometres give him an edge over competitors. His main rivals may be riders like Cadel Evans or Roman Kreuziger.
Galdos Down Under, Lagutin to Langwaki
Aitor Galdos and Sergey Lagutin will be our two leaders in our first two stage-races of the season. We believe Aitor's skill set perfectly fits the route in Adelaide, while Sergey's pure climbing will fit like a glove in Malaysia. Aitor Galdos, a terrific sprinter/climber/puncheur, does everything well. With the Willunga finish, Galdos can get a great result. As for Lagutin, the two huge climbs wil suit him very well and if his form is decent starting the year, he could very well take the crown.
Training Camps Continue
Guillame Boivin, Keven Lacombe, David Veilleux, Ryder Hesjedal and Dominique Rollin have all been sent off to California for a training camp, concentrating on climbing and hilly terrain. Our entire Canadian contingent has been sent down to Mt Baldy and surrounding areas in the freezing USA weather. This camp is another step n our bid to strengthen relations between the Canadian riders in our team, to develop strong relationships and working partnerships between the countrymen.
Fredrik Kessiakoff, Vincenzo Nibali and Juan Jose Haedo will all return from their Portugese pre-season camp tomorrow.

It'll be a hard Giro considering you're sending Contador there (I think?)

Rockstar Wins Fight Over Bobbie Traksel
Rockstar Toronto has emerged victorious in a two-way battle for Dutch all-rounder Bobbie Traksel. Traksel, a former U23 RvV champion, was said to sign with either Dutch team VI - SigaarSnor or Rockstar, and he eventually chose the latter. "A better oportunity to win races for my team and myself awaits me" said Traksel in a statement recently.
French duo join Rockstar
French climbing duo Adrian Palomares and Anthony Charteau have both each signed onto Rockstar also, both on the same day in very similar deals. Palomares, a veteran Puncheur, and Charteau, the 2010 Tour de France KoM, are both absolute steals in my eyes. Both will feature in our TdF squad.
