Evans could have done better, but 2nd place in this early stage of the season is not that bad. |

Looks great so far. But of course, it was expected with that many experienced writers.
Hoping for a successful season!

So guys, thanks for waiting all the long time since the first race reports. We´re going on here with the first stage race on the Pro Tour. We´re currently in Australia for the Tour Down Under 2012.
Our team for 2012 is full of great riders and they are all able to reach some good things for us not only in Australia. The team choice was quite hard indeed, as there are many favourites on the squad.
Finally we choosed Thor Hushovd for the overall and the bunch sprints. He also got a great leadout guy on his side with Greg Van Avermaet from Belgium. Especially on the more hilly stages, it´ll be quite important to have a lot of support.
George Hincapie and Marcus Burghardt will probably complete the sprint train.
Timothy Roe, Brent Bookwalter and the young sprinter Klaas Lodewyck got the smaller roles, making the pace on flat stages to catch some escapees.
I think we can espect a lot from this team squad and I really hope for some good results in the heat of Down Under!

Nice squad for the Tour Down Under, you must get at least two stage wins with them, if not the overall |

Welcome to our first stage here at this stage race. The terrain today is quite flat with some nice chances for a bunch sprint with hopefully all favourites. Cavendish, Farrar, Greipel, Goss and many more sprinter are participating just like Thor Hushovd from our team. For sure, this is going to be very exciting.
The leading group of the stage, included 12 riders with Casper, Van Impe, hunt and Turgot as most the famous names there. Indeed, it was quite hard to bring them back, but with all those strong sprinters teams, it wasn´t impossible at all. It looked pretty good for a mass sprint in Clare.
With Garmin, Lotto and BMC at the front of the pack it was surely arragend for a high pace to bring the breakaway.
Bad luck for BMC as they´ve got blocked in the final kilometres. We had to risk a lot out of that position, while our opponents were far in front with their leadout men. Hincapie, Van Avermaet and Hushovd set the highest pace, they were able to.
Hushovd were on his own at the last metres and of course there were no chance to get back to the front, where Tyler Farrar kept the lead. Greipel looked very fast there while Cavendish lost some speed.
In a very close decision, it was finally Andre Greipel, taking a wonderful stage win for his team. Tyler Farrar and Romain Feillu managed to get on the podium while Thor Hushovd finished on the 9th position. Very intermingled start for BMC in Australia.
