Don't believe in neither the Schlecks nor Gilbert unless all three of them have some sort of magical formula to get them in shape instantly
So I guess some Spaniard will win - Valverde / Rodriguez. |

Boonen not racing..who was considering him as favorite?
It's Ardennes classics..Omega should support Chavanel. |

Boonens objective was to help the team, because they helped him very well.

Is very difficult that Gilbert win again. His shape is too low. I bet for Purito Rodriguez and Valverde. Gerrans maybe podium. |

Why do so many people see Purito as a potential winner of those races ? He can do explosive attacks, but can't really outsprint a guy like Valverde, Cunego, Sagan, Gilbert, Pozzato, etc.
And, as far as I know, he hasn't proven that he'd be in the form of his life so far this season, has he ? |

What, he was 2nd in Amstel last year. 2nd in FW last year too, that means he out-sprinted everybody except Gilbert.
He also got 2nd at Pais Vasco winning 2 hilly stages and doing great TT to keep that 2nd in GC. Rodriguez can definitely beat any one of those you named.
Sagan crashed in Pijl and to me he over raced so far to be great here, he will be there though probably. No idea why you named Pozzato. Gilbert form isn't great, is it ? Cunego had solids result, but Rodriguez beat him every time in Pais Vasco. Valverde was sick and didn't race in Pais Vasco, his form is unknown.

He was the strongest behind Gilbert last year, so why not? Gilbert was the only one who could follow his attack on the Cauberg, otherwise he'd have won.
It's him vs. Valverde vs. Sagan in Amstel as I see it.

Because, If La Flèche is like other years the man who can handle Huy the best wins. He ended 2 times 2nd in Huy so that proves he can handle that. He also ended 2nd in AGR last year. And since Gilbert isn't in top-form he will probably do well and maybe climb to 1st spot there. And he ended 3rd LBL once so why would he fail in these races?$
It looks like Pelli and Alakgom where a little bit faster

Time for a prediction!
As I've said that I think it's Rodriguez' year, I guess I have to stay with that in the prediction. I expect him and Cunego, as a bit of an outsider, to be the strongest on the Cauberg, in a similar battle to last year's Gilbert vs. Purito.
Sagan should be a good bet as well, but I think he'll need another year to be a serious contender for the win here. Still a podium for him, in the sprint a couple of seconds behind the front two. Sánchez and Gerrans rounds off the Top 5.
Gilbert for a Top 10, max. I just can't see him recovering from the terrible shape he has been in all year. Valverde also a disappointment, suffering from sickness.
1. Rodriguez
2. Cunego
3. Sagan
4. Sánchez
5. Gerrans

Talk to a friend of mine today who said he was sure Nordhaug would get a Top 10. I bet him £10 that he wouldn't make it.
I've allready planned what I'm going to spend my new fortune on. |

Really ? It's rainy in Amstel. That means no allergies and that stopped Norhdaug performing well last year in Ardennes. I think he's got a good chance of Top 10 as a leader of Sky. Henao if it's rainy will be co-leader. EBH also said he's domestique today for Nordhaug. We'll see how it goes, but he definitely stands a good chance.

Call me negative, but I have a feeling he's not going to get a Top 10. He's has been doing incredibly well lately, however I still have a feeling somethings gonna go wrong.
Plus, us Norwegains are allready stoked enough when it comes to Edvald and Thor, you don't wanna see us if we get a climber into the mix aswell.

When will the streamings begin today?
I have my money on Sammy Sánchez or perhaps a russian. Don't know who is riding today, so Kolobnev, Ignatiev, Gusev, Efimkin or Pavel Brrrrr

Nordhaug in top-10? Dream on
Yes, he did well in somewhat similar stages in Pais Vasco, but I doubt he will be up there after 256 km of racing. Plus, the field is stronger in this race. We will see soon enough, though. |

I definetely think Rodrihuez can pull it off. He will be unbeatable on the Cauberg. |

Cav for the Win
I gonna put my neck on the line and say Gilbert has been sand bagging all season. Surely he can't really be that bad at this time of year? |

Something's telling me that after 30 climbs Cav isn't really still gonna be in the front group, and that's if he's racing which I think he isn't. |
