Prediction Time!
1. Damiano Cunego
2. Angel Madrazo
3. Simon Spilak
4. Taylor Phinney
5. Thomas Dekker
6. Markus Fothen
7. Aleksandr Pluchkin
8. Jaroslav Popovych
9. Rein Taaramae
10. Rigoberto Uran
I would eat that any time... Fothen above Pluchkin is not gonna happen though. I also think that Uran will be above Fothen at the end. Perhaps even Popovych. A top 10 is my goal.
I think this is the final top 10:
1. Damiano Cunego
2. Angel Madrazo
3. Alexandr Pluchkin
4. Simon Spilak
5. Thomas Dekker
6. Rigoberto Uran
7. Taylor Phinney
8. Jaroslav Popovych
9. Markus Fothen
10. Andrei Amador
And lurking right outside the top 10:
Sergio Luis Henao Montoya
Rein Taaramae
Vladimir Karpets
Daniel Martin
Yuri Trofimov
Andrei Kashechkin
And then we have the long shots, who could do well because they need to attack if to do well:
Peter Velits
Mauricio Ardila
John Gadret
Martijn Keizer
And of course the luxury helpers:
Dario Cataldo
Timofey Kritskiy
Joaquin Rodriguez Oliver
Petar Panayotov

Brilliant preview, I'm going to have fun coming up with bets for this one. A lot of stages where the break may have a chance, if the pace in the peloton is low as the Sprinters aim to get over the climbs. |

Great preview, a fun read.
Don't know what to expect so I'll go with a top-20 from Velits and a stage win from Vanderbiest or a brake away.

Excellent preview.
My strategy with Cunego is starting to make me feel a bit nervous. He's arguably ducked the Tour year after year, so for him to be many people's favourite is a bit of a surprise.
It is one hell of a field but there are a lot of points there for the taking. If the race kicks off on the second to last climb on stage 4 that could be very important for Cafe de Colombia. I tend to feel whoever out of Cunego, Madrazo or Spilak - gets into yellow first will win the race. |

So just to be clear on this: If Dekker crashes out, I can start preparing for the continental tour?
SN, that preview must have taken ages to do. Awesome, I really enjoyed it - even learned a lot.
It's going to be a very exciting race. Every stage will count. |

Seeing as I can't bet, I'll just predict:
1. Damiano Cunego
2. Angel Madrazo
3. Aleksandr Pluchkin
4. Simon Spilak
5. Thomas Dekker
6. Taylor Phinney
7. Rigoberto Uran
8. Markus Fothen
9. Andrei Amador
10. Andrei Kashechkin
Watch me be wrong.

Like every year I don't just wanna podium I wanna win!
The way I see it, Pluchkin and Madrazo are as strong and it's pretty much 50-50 there. Cunego is a bit of dark horse. He could be amazing and dominate and he could do worse.
I wonder what SN knows

I'll give it a shot too, just for fun. Based on gut feeling, and a little knowledge.
1. Alex Pluchkin
2. Simon Spilak
3. Angel Madrazo
4. Thomas Dekker
5. Damiano Cunego
6. Taylor Phinney
7. Andrei Kashechkin
8. Jaroslav Popovych
9. Yuri Trofimov
10. Vladimir Karpets

Awesome report. Really liked the Nation flags for the riders and the video scenes.
Well done.
A shame that again some favourites crashed. Bad for Kasheskin that he lost 4 min although it looked good in the video, where he was close to the end.
Hope none of these 3 is injured.
Well done to Sony. Had hoped for Duret to win but nice performance and luckily no time gaps for some of the big names. |

Chance 1: failed.
Reason: Bad positioning - break.
I felt Van Stayen might have actually won that stage if he would have been behind Swift instead of being close to last on that sprint train.
Enjoyable report though, didn't notice that uphill finish in the profile though.

Amazing report there SN, and an exciting stage. Kashechkin looks to be out of it already though, which is bad news for Webeffect. |

This.
Great report!
Cheered for Duret in the finale, but Trofimov timed that to perfection. Congrats to Sony!
