I used Flashget too and I'm hopeless with downlaods and things like that.
It told me it would take 24 hours to download the DB but it actually took about 2 hours for me. That included it seeming to do nothing for the first 90 minutes. |

I've downloaded Flashget but don't know what to do net. [/retard]
Anyway, I won two stages in a row in the Giro with Vonokourov, but Scarponi managed to win by 14 seconds in the last stage so he's cutting the gap.
How is everybody else doing? |

After downloading the excellent PCM 2012 databse and finally getting the fitness plans in place (only now did I spot the PCM Fitness Planner which might have helped some!) I was finally set for my new career.
I'm playing as Sky on hard with (like most) no training camps. Things got off to a slow start with the massed ranks of Green Edge not bothering to chase down a break at the Australian National's but picked up with a Richie Porte time trial win a few days later.
On to the Tour Down Under with Edvald Boasson Hagen (EBH) and Uran leading the team. EBH was 2nd by less than half a wheel on stage 1 to Boonen then the promising Henao got in a break on the hilly stage 2 that changed everything. He roared away from the break on the final rise to take the stage and a lead of a minute on all the GC candidates.
From here on in with the GC lead and a top sprinter the team had to chase down everything. EBH grabbed Boonen's wheel late on one flat stage and came round for a win. There was also a huge crash in the last 15km of another stage that put paid to half the peloton and Uran's GC hopes (can't complain as he went down first of fifty!).
Then came Willunga. So all out protection of Henao and limit any time loss. In the end it turned out perfectly with the team keeping Henao near the front and, when the GC was safe, Uran sprinted past all for the stage. An uneventfall last stage gave Henao an unexpected GC win by some 30 seconds.
Onward to Paris-Nice and Tirreno-Adriatico. |

Not many users here comment that often to be honest, and thanks for reminder with Duque. Time to lower his stats for next PCM.Daily DB, noticed he is kinda overrated
Blasphemy, Duque is a beast. How dare you consider decreasing his stats. He's one of my road captains alongside Fischer.
I am sorry Tbh the only thing I'd decrease it's his acceleration and the hill stat a bit.
Wow, you have a lot of games going for PCM I see with this one great story here and the other one, I couldn't do that Main fault would be FM 12 and FIFA though
I need a life I think, I have 2 stories going and a BMC save, aswell as FM 12 and FIFA on PS3 , but sometimes play FIFAand PCM/FM at the same time

I am the Giro D'Italia with BMC, so far Pinotti top 10 at Paris Nice, Evans won Tirreno Adriatico
Gilbert won Milan San Remo with Hushovd third
Hushovd was 2nd at Herelbeke and 1st at Gent Wevelgem, also won Paris Roubaix.
Evans top 5 at Pais Vasco
Classic dissapointing with Gilbert nowere except 2nd at the Amstel Gold Race (simmed classics)
I have simmed alot of it except for races I see are main sponsors, so far its working as they are impressed, Frank and Pinotti are my leaders for the Giro with Pinotti winning the first stage. Blythe is their to try an win some of the sprint stages however Cavendish and Farrar are here

Great win with Henao, very good. Seems like you sweeped up at the TDU!
Just had 5 riders in the top 17 on Stage 8 of the Giro. Bennati came 4th with Vinokourov somehow finishing 6th. Duque came 11th, Lofkvist 13th and Vanendert finished 17th. Our non-sprinters really do pull it out the bag sometimes! That leaves the GC looking like this for my team:
Vinokourov - 33h45m30s (1)
Vanendert - + 2m34s (11)
Duque - + 5m32s (19)
Lofkvist - + 7m25s (25)
Bennati - + 20m50s (55)
Vogondy - +31m56s (78)
Posthuma - + 45m44s (102)
Proni - + 46m06s (103)
Skujins - + 50m49s (110)

The pause button is very helpful to me when a break or sprint is about to happen |

Never use the pause button when the breaks go away, thats probaly why the gap get so far and when my rider comes across he is always tired lol, always pause at sprint though if I have a sprinter that is, if I don't I x2 it through.
Im simming alot as Im fed up of doing the same races as I cant get a save to last, desperate to get to season 2 , playing the Giro onwards though, still need good results.

He's just lost the GC Jersey on the very mountainous stage 9. He's now 21 seconds behind Scarponi in second. Vanendert has moved up to 10th though. Lofkvist now into 22nd. Duque has moved down because of the terrain of the stage and he's now in 46th. Bennati is 67th as Vogondy had a good stage and is now in 64th. Posthuma leads the battle of the lower three as he's in 88th with Skujins in 95th and Proni in 96th. |

haha! Fédrigo won up to Willunga Hill as well and now leads the GC quite comfortably. Guesdon also leads the mountain ranking, so looks very good.

He did! I even got a nice second spot by Hutarovich on the last stage. All jerseys plus team ranking - pretty nice for the first race

Great result in the TDU for you! Haven't really seen much of Hutarovich yet in my career.
As my the Giro, Bennati took 6th place in the tenth Stage, Duque managed 10th whilst Vino took 11th, (He's a great sprinter on the sly!)
Meanwhile, I've sent an average team to the Californian Road race. Vaitkus has managed to take third on the second stage which is amazing to say Cavendish and co were there! |

Awesome result for you and FDJ.
Vino is stronger on hilly stages, is he not?
If so I would focus on getting as much time as possible on the hilly stages and try to compensate it in the high mountains, will be tough though.

Yeah, he's one of the best climbers in the Giro but I just can't make any time on Scarponi. Maybe in the TT I can. |
