What the hell is Sieberg doing with those attacks?
Anyway, good thing Plaza stayed on his bike today and he is now looking good for another podium here, in California.

Two races, two missed splits, two wasted results. When you are gambling it all on stage races it's irritating.
Ventoso softens the blow somewhat

Im sure Madrazo will soften it a lot once he gets going

That's the plan, but I seem to be building some split missing momentum.

Yeah I guess it's too much asking for my captain to stay out of trouble. It hasn't happened all year, why should this race be any different.

X2.
There's too many crashes imo. It has ruined my entire season already, and already missing 2 major goals of the season for sure is pissing me off.

Forget about the podium. A top 5 is the goal now.

Decent resurrection from Contador. Hopefully he will use his powers to climb another 2 or 3 spots in the mountains. I really can't seem to be getting the splits at all. In this stage my team was up front. In the other we were obviously out back, since we were caught out.
Without too many stupidity Contador should climb a spot and ultimately Serpa could be a good domestique for a 11th-15th spot, and perhaps he would even attack.

Recovering, but it would take something special for this race not to be a disappointment.

A weird 'hilly' stage in terms of who was up there. |

Wow, awesome of Velits to win a stage. Top-10 is looking good so far
Stage, leader's jersey and a very nice gap between him and the 4th place. There's no way he keeps this up but it's an awesome run so far.

If Sinkewitz takes 10th and Pecharroman goes for the mountain jersey, I suppose that's reason enough to be satisfied ... but on the other hand, neither are really all that likely to happen. |

Awesome tactics by Plaza: make a move when there's already a breakaway in front and there's no way a gap will be made on that downhill

Weirdness continuing to reign - a rider like Leonardo Duque missing the time cut on a 'flat' stage? |

Schreurs! And Sinkewitz doing well too, getting into top-10. A few points away from the mountain jersey. |

Time to reduce time gaps, before the attacking manifests in the mountains for Contador and Serpa.

Flat stages mean the time cut is much smaller
Oh, and the miracle looks as far away as ever sadly.
