I'd probably take that in all honesty.....Cal Giant have a good sprinter too....Worst case scenario is finishing second and then having your leader working for your sprinter....Having said that, I'm worried more for myself - Bosisio is the type of mediocre do nothing that would and has jumped at the chance time and time again to lose himself in the pack..... |

But normally this scenario just happens in easier races, where a sprinter would have the chance and it`s just one more stage to go.
I don`t see this happening here on stage 2. Maybe some helpers, but not that the team leader is waiting for the sprinter with just hilly stages ahead. |

I think it might have happened to Vespa in the hill-fest of Mallorca, after a 2nd on the flat Stage 1

Pretty strange sprint with the big sprinters losing against Bellis or Flügel.
Could become a 4/4 for Bellis. |

Flügel taking third on a "flat" stage should make him do even better at the hilly ones (I hope)

That was certainly a surprising podium for a flat stage. Those bonifications should be valuable to especially Bellis, but also to Flügel. Congratulations to Bellis and SN! |

Well these South African journalists continue to criticise the Jayco Red Bull squad but results continue to be pleasing!
A nice second place by Priamo I am intrigued to see how decisive the next stages will be, hoping my hilly guys can last the pace!

I'm hopeful that now we have the flat stage out of the way, a sprinter like Gatto or Haedo might be able to win a stage..... |

Bellis will be hard to beat the first 3 stages

Bellis has a really awesome season. And his season is superbly planned as well!
Check out my ManGame team here

Good report and I'm sure SN is enjoying himself, but I'm not enjoying the way Cya-logic is working with this race.
Everyone who plays the ManGame needs to be making the suggestion to Cya that we need a watch mode for next year. The AI (for me) is proving itself far too dependent on being reactive to player input. |

Bellis is my most-hated ManGame cyclist right now
Still, the results are much better than i thought. I hope stage 3 and 4 will be quite similar to this one so i get the KoM-jersey or a Top10 in the GC. But maybe i´m just dreaming and will get nothing eventually.

The question is, will SN be beaten in either division? At this rate, it seems not - and the importance of clever, strategic planning shows through.

SN really showing how to plan races. Success everywhere he starts.
Also Trilux with some nice riding in Boland, really hoped Sousa could take the win on this stage. |

Jayco in Africa,
Team tactics are as expected
although a decent rider in the break tomorrow will not be pulled back.
