Stijn Joseph ftw!
I'll be happy if Franzoi gets a top-10 and De Vocht, De Haes or Joseph get in to the top-20.

Joseph and Franzoi in the top-10. Nice.
Also, what's up with Joseph this year?

Indeed nice report.
Race-wise, i'm disappointed, but i guess it can't be helped when Burghardt is so willing to give a perfect lead-out. Also, it was way to close again with the break.

Yeah good report there!
Cant really be disappointed with the result, as Meiji were never going to do well. I was nice not to finish last though.

Interesting to see the way the race went, Boonan now looks a big favourite to ride well in the cobbled races if riders do not make a decisive lone move. But nice to see the big cobbled riders battle it out.
Lots of pictures and an exciting race to read!

Seem like Ballan was a step behind all the time. Pity with the great team work.

I'm not sure, he was in the perfect position in the chain, and pretty much no one overtook in the front group, as I suspect they were mostly dead. The final sprint is about luck as much as anything, as evidenced by Drucker holding on to second.
Boonen is definitely favourite, but I would be surprised to see him win more than 1 more.

Mertens did very well but Thomas, even with the nationality bonus got beaten by one of our riders with 61 cobble stat and very few other stats better than him. Not a worrying result really but that went to shit for him.

Actually, i just noticed that all of my riders - one finished in the top 50, so that's actually nice. Even 3 in the top 30. Strange though, as only 3 of them have a cobbled stat above 70.

Indeed - and two riders in the top 20, which is far better than I'd expected
That was a rather exciting race. Excellent reporting, and it was fantastic to see the cobbled stars go at it.

That was odd. Last years winner Rowe, 15 minutes down with 75 cobble stat, and Thomas even further behind him, both being Brits. Whilst riders, as have been pointed out, with 70 cobble stats, and far worse in everything else, Top 30s. Right. That makes perfect sense PCM. Perfect.
Still, couldn't expect much more from Fenn considering the race is now considered "hilly". Why?!

Devolder was also a two time winner of the Ronde and never was as strong again. And Thomas just had lots of bad luck in this race. There the National bonus was not relevant at all. |

This. All this.
Not that this is an important race for me goals or rankings wise.

Mancuso ---> 59 cobbles ----> 46th. I suspect it's because of blocking. Whatever kind of game you play (mountain, hills, sprints, cobbles), i've always seen good riders get caught out because of being blocked and not being able to pass in PCM 11.

Well looking at the results so far, it is a waste of money to go for the expensive cobblers. It's much better to have a bunch of the 76-77 cobblers at a 60-90K wage
Steurs, luckily, is quite cheap for me so it was always a big questions mark. Nice to see that Pozzato is seemingly decent when the cobbled races are also hilly... I have him in Gent Wevelgem and the Northern Europe Tour.
