Yes, as mentioned earlier in this thread, unless you have a team like Geox were you can fight for the win, there isn't really any point.
Talking about Geox (or Vacansoleil in PCM10), those teams are by far the strongest in the continental roaster and they usually miss promotion when you play career- there is something wrong with the AI planning their season

Well, in my season the two teams who secured promotion were Codifis, 2nd, and Landbouwkrediet, 1st. Landbouwkrediet absolutely dominated especially due to Bobbie Traksel. They had something like 3300 points, around 500 more then Cofidis. |

World Tour points: Decides which WT-teams are relegated
Continental points: Doesn't mean squat
CQ points: decides which Continental teams are promoted
Stupid question probably, but what is CQ? Is it the Superprestige ranking? |

Yes, very similar results the 2 or 3 times I remember playing career the first season. Cofidis makes sense but Landbouwkrediet doesn´t, if you compare the team with Geox or Europcar

Yes. The names may be different, depending on which DB you play with. |

Good, good.
Now, lets steer this ship back on topic, ey?
Does anyone have any suggestions as how I should plan my season? For my roster, look on the photo I added on the first page. |

75-76 in MO, HILL and TT. I won't have much trouble winning some 2.HC races with him. |

Guardini should go for Early season victories + September/October, if he gets lucky with fitness you could apply for a wild card in TdU as there are easy points there.
I would spread your mountain leaders out as they are so similar. Get 1/2 to target the Feb/March mountains, another for April/May and maybe Kiryenka for June/July and October.
If it's tight for promotion race everything you can in September/October and you can normally pick up enough points

So split them in three? Guardini, Kiriyenka and maybe Navarro? |

yeah, but even amoung the three have Navarro, Kiryenka, Masciarelli and Ulissi peaking for different points to allow someone to be in form anytime there is a continental race you think you have a shot at.

I think I've settled for two teams for the GC in the races I participate in. One with Vasil Kiriyenka and the other one with Navarro as main leaders, but I will also "stretch" out their form so that they reach their peak at slightly different times.
Two questions though:
- Should I have Guardini, Hegreberg and Kristoff in a third and seperate team? This way they would be able to fight for stage wins and a possible finish near the top of the GC in flat races. I would also be able to take part in more races.
- Lets say I have 3 climbers in both GC-teams. How would you plan their training so they would peak at different times? |

I would have a third sprinters team, as there are races where you will want to split them up.
just have their peaks overlapping, with a couple of weeks between each, making sure that the week they are peaking for has races that suit them

Okay, lets say that I have three climbers (riders A, B C) in Team 1.
Rider A peaks in the 1st and 2nd week in March, Rider B then peaks in the 4th week of March and the 1st of April, whilst Rider C peaks near the end of April?
March and April are of course just examples. |

In the manual: "Superprestige: Displays rankings for individuals, team or nations for the selected season. This
ranking has no official value."
Who is wrong? According to the manual you get promoted based on Continental rankings...

I don't know in which level of difficulty you play but you shouldn't have problems getting promoted with that team even in extreme.
With those climbers you can easily win 2.hc tours like Malasya or Turkey.
The only thing that's missing from your squad is a guy with good HIL and SP habilities. Norhaug should be able to get you some points in classics but in the toughest ones you'll have to try to get to the finish in a group of 6/7 riders so that Van Goolen, Navarro or Masciarelli are able to win or at least get in the podium. You should have bought Anthony Roux, his contract expires for the second season and he's fantastic for continental teams.

Nobody reads the manual, not even Cyanide and Focus, else they would have seen that it is full of errors, mostly because they changed the game from year to year but did not update the manual. |

The best two continental teams in the superprestige ranking will get promoted. If you only race continental races, then your team will be top of the continental ranking as well due to obvious reasons.
And if you upload a save, then you should have uploaded the one before the promotion. |
