Van der Sande and Quintana are doing great for UniCredit. Actually, Van der Sande is the 3rd best scoring rider for UniCredit.

Alright i've done some work with the numbers and below are the Points Per Day (PPD) for each team, along with their ranking by points per day and their regular score/ranking:
PPD RANK | RANK | TEAM | POINTS | DAYS | PPD | 1 | 1 | Rapha Condor - Qhubeka | 1137 | 25 | 45.5 | 2 | 2 | Jayco - Red Bull | 1046 | 31 | 33.7 | 3 | 9 | Aker Solutions - Bergans | 559 | 21 | 26.6 | 4 | 8 | Proximus - Trek | 560 | 22 | 25.5 | 5 | 19 | Team Trilux - Falke | 296 | 12 | 24.7 | 6 | 3 | VolksWagen - Siemens | 752 | 31 | 24.3 | 7 | 5 | Team Puma - SAP | 681 | 31 | 22.0 | 8 | 10 | California Giant Berry Farms-Specialized | 556 | 26 | 21.4 | 9 | 4 | Team Bianchi | 740 | 36 | 20.6 | 10 | 6 | Hollister Pro Cycling | 630 | 31 | 20.3 | 11 | 16 | Team Venchi ProCycling | 343 | 18 | 19.1 | 12 | 26 | Pokerstars.com | 162 | 9 | 18.0 | 13 | 7 | Vespa - Aprilia - De Rosa | 573 | 33 | 17.4 | 14 | 22 | T.CS Bank - OJSC Rosneft | 271 | 16 | 16.9 | 15 | 12 | Team WWE | 471 | 28 | 16.8 | 16 | 11 | Team CSC-Orbea | 473 | 31 | 15.3 | 17 | 15 | Cyclevox | 347 | 25 | 13.9 | 18 | 17 | Pirelli - Alfa Romeo | 329 | 24 | 13.7 | 19 | 23 | UniCredit | 235 | 18 | 13.1 | 20 | 14 | Oz Cycling Project | 383 | 35 | 10.9 | 21 | 21 | Focused Cycling | 283 | 27 | 10.5 | 22 | 27 | Team Rothaus - Aegon | 152 | 15 | 10.1 | 23 | 18 | Cerne | 308 | 31 | 9.9 | 24 | 13 | Emu Export | 386 | 39 | 9.9 | 25 | 25 | Saab-Scania | 192 | 20 | 9.6 | 26 | 20 | Meiji - Fuji | 292 | 33 | 8.8 | 27 | 28 | Team Bpost | 138 | 17 | 8.1 | 28 | 24 | Ferrari - ERG | 232 | 31 | 7.5 | 29 | 29 | Koppert Cycling Team | 82 | 18 | 4.6 |
Some interesting things come out here:
Rapha and Jayco are 1-2 on both lists - Not only do they have a huge number of raw points but they have not used a massive number of race days to get there. Races such as South Africa were immensely valuable for their teams given that they only cost 7 race days.
The least efficient teams - Ferrari-ERG, Meiji and Emu Export both drop quite a few places when you take into account the fact that they have all used over 30 race days. Koppert and BPost are near the bottom of both lists because both of their teams are focussed on the cobbles so their most efficient race days are still ahead, and this is shown by teh fact that both have used under 20 race days.
The most efficient teams - Apart from Rapha and Red Bull, which were already mentioned, Trilux has done immensely well. They have used only 12 race days, but each one has been worth almost 25 points. So their place in the regular rankings are misleading at this point, and they should be very happy with their results thus far. Similarly, Pokerstars.com has only used 9 days but each one is worth 18 points.
I can keep doing this if everyone is interested. As much as I would love to, I'm not going to do one for riders as that is way too time consuming.

I am afraid it will continue like this and won`t stop.
His teams are just looking very strong.
I also like that my PPD rank is better than my actual rank. Gives me motivation to climb in the mid and late season, where I still have lots of important races. |

Right you are... I counted South Africa as 5 instead of 7.

If that is so, why did my race days change? I didn't race in South Africa....
Edit: I checked, and 28 is correct.

Remember I said Rapha were almost certain to be top 10? This topping the charts thing they do so well is kind of what I expected.
And Alarcon needs to fuck off so I can try and win some of these moutain stage races...
Edit: to SN: If this African experiment of yours is a conious effort to give the rest of us a chance... Well, it's not working

Points per race day can also be misleading of course with Aker Solutions and Proximus having used their million dollar men for no less then 12 of their race days already.
VolksWagen and Bianchi have plenty left in the locker and T.CS Bank/Pokerstars haven't even started yet.
Nethertheless you can say Rapha and Red Bull have had great starts and of the teams I expected to go well Emu Export and Pirelli have had a fairly disappointing start.

Glad to see the team right in the middle, and our numbers are a little bit misleading because Igor Anton has yet to race So I'm very happy.

I like the fact that I'm 6th in ppd even before Reus have started racing (he's warming up in Paris-Nice before going all out in the CT ;-))
