Stage 6. I was as surprised as you when i found out when i loaded the game, would have send another line up here if i would have known.
Hmm so would I. Definately! Pozzato have no shot then. Oh well good thing I already said I was happy with nothing.
*grumbles about sending Diggle here
That's disappointing and misleading to say the least.

So it's not flat-rated after all?
Anyways I'm looking forward to this one after what is happening in T-A
Nope. It's rated as a mountain stage in the game, so this might not only mess up the chances of the sprinters, but the more pure puncheurs aswell maybe. Although, the big climb is pretty far from the finish.
Guys, guys, keep it straight. It is stage 7 you are talking about. Anyway, I don't think a mountainous profile of that stage would affect the puncheurs that much when the climb is so far away from the finish. Should be a big group coming in.

It might affect the game play.
Also, stupid me just counted the flat icons and then opted this over Oman because of the harder course (for Steegmans that is). I would also have send Terciado here (instead of the hilly T-A), if i knew it was a mountain stage.

Not a very interesting 2nd stage, but I had somehow missed Reimer taking KoM on the 1st stage, so there's still something to celebrate

Maybe not for Trofimov who have 78 MO, but it certainly does for a rider like Pozzato with only 64 MO, in case a group of ex.20 riders are strong over the top. Then they will power away until the end, and gain time. If it was a flat stage, then the chase group would probably fight to get the sprinters in place, rather than having captains go full throttle... That might be a problem. But let's see.

I hope you right, I would not mind Pozzato losing some time.

I'm happy with that second place, although i would have been happier with another stage .
As a reporter: PCM 11 has given me way more problems for 2 races then PCM 09 did for any of my races. The replays don't show up, but ok, i can take screenshots during the game. But my result just not exporting? That's annoying. Certainly for stage 5, which is a GC stage.

This stage was the reason i sent Ventoso to P-N and we don't bother pulling back the break.
Hopefully he will be able to get over the hills tomorrow.

Great result for Pinot. He's already strong and i'll be glad to see him continue developing
Nice to see Van Garderen being attentive.

In a way it's good to see some of things as a reporter to be aware of and it is worth being aware of the amount of work sometimes we have to do. To get those results I imagine took a fair amount of calculations or some tricky save game editor work.
I think mb tends to take screens of the results, I usually hammer the export three or four times and then tab to check. Easy to say in hindsight of course but both of us had this last year a results not appearing issue so we have found a way to double check it.
On the race itself looking forward to the battle between the tts and climbs

I just raced the mountain stage in my own career and it is a true mountain stage, the finishing circuit is actually quite hard.

Good thing I didn't know that... Otherwise Fothen or Contador would've been here

Btw:
Stage 2 of Vuelta al Pais Vasco - Is that a flat stage, or is that a mountainstage like here? Just so I don't make the same mistake again.

SN hasn't done the database for that yet so you will have to wait for him to come back. It's probably going to be flat

The icons listed in the Race Profiles forum are also the ones which should (and will) be used in the game.
Paris-Nice should also have been changed, but Kami had already raced the entire tour before he noticed the problem.
Please note that the setting changes the AI, not the "toughness" of the stage - for example, a hill doesn't become more difficult to climb, just by changing the terrain type.
You could say, though, that a stage does get more tough "indirectly", because there are more GC attacks on a stage which is listed as MO compared to a stage listed as flat. |

Well, this race is Coppel or nothing for me. When I see profiles of all stages now once again, I think it wasn't very good decision..

Unfortunately, i have been very busy the last few days, and will be for a couple of more days. I might find more time from the first on, but until then i don't think i can post any stages. Sorry for the inconvenience.
