The Nordic Invasion - Sun, Wind, Sand ... it could only be Qatar

That can vary from save to save, I think...

yeah, but he's like 74 or something in sprint and 55 in mountain and mid 60 in hill Pfft

I must have a different db then ... cause hes 62-64mo 66-69hil 71-72sp 71-72acc, but his potential is 2* in sp and acc but 4-5* in mo and hill, but he is a sprinter now, but a future climber

Welcome to 2011

Its the start of the season.

We're still planning our shedules and calendar.

Our sponsor goals have been recieved, and will go up later on today.

We are going for a limited Continental season, targeting only those races important to our Sponsors, and some for warm-ups for the big races.
Most of our efforts will be at out Spnosrs prefered UWT races.

January;
We will aim for a wildcard to the Santos Tour Down Under
We will compete in no other races in January.

Febuary;
We will begin our season proper in the Middle East.
Racing both the Tour of Qatar and the Tour of Oman.
Then we will move on to Belgium for the Omloop Het Neuisblad for sure.
We may enter another 1 or 2 one-day races to build form

See you in Australia .... (hopefully)

i1117.photobucket.com/albums/k587/Average_Man/SAS%20Nordic/goals2.png

1st at both Paris-Roubaix and Van Vlaandern will be tough to achieve, but is doable.
Winning Milan-San Remo is going to be extremely difficult, but Boasson-Hagan and Breschel can do it
The points jersey at both the Giro and Tour will be interesting, at the Giro should be nice, but the Tour will be a battle.
King of the Mountains at the Vuelta should be one of the more achievable goals.

Some tough goals, but all are achievable and will test my skills as a Director Sportif

Update;
We have acheived a wildcard to the Santos Tour Down Under
To prepare we are holding a training camp in Sagres, Portugal for 5 days.
Our goals will just be stage wins.
The team is not yet decided and will not be confirmed until almost the start

Santos Tour Down Under - Stage 1

The attacks started early, focused on the days only KoM points.
Against the odds it was our own Gronlund that took them ahead of Oss (LIQ) and Wilson (GRM).
i1117.photobucket.com/albums/k587/Average_Man/SAS%20Nordic/gronlundkompts1.png

But none of the attacks formed the BotD. This waited until 60km left.
Attacks by Lorenzetto (AST) and Vaiktus (AST) started it, with Wilson (GRM), Sutherland (UHC) and Gronlund (SAS) forming the rest.
They lasted until 15km to go.
i1117.photobucket.com/albums/k587/Average_Man/SAS%20Nordic/gronlundlatebreak1.png

This is were the trains took over. Jebjerg followed Swift until 5km when he accelerated, passing over to Kristoff for the 3km lead-out. Boasson-Hagen kicked at 1.2km to go, blasted past the oppostition to a comfortable win, with Ciolek (QST) and Fernandez (EUS) completing the podium.

Santos Tour Down Under - Stage 2

A large break of 16 got away today, including KoM Gronlund, looking to extend his lead. However he was 5th over the pts line, and lost the jersey to Luke Roberts.

The final sprint was dramatic. Kristoff lead-out Boasson-Hagen to 1.5km. This was too soon for B-H who was passed with 3m left by Pettachi.
Greg Henderson rounded out the podium.

Santos Tour Down Under - Stage 3

Gronland was again in the days break, but again couldn't gain any KoM points, but allowed us to not pull.
All the action came on the last descent and climb.
SAS Nordic pushed the pace hard on the descent, and Boasson-Hagen got a gap at the bottom of the last climb.
B-H rode past the lead group, as Cancellara and Carlstrom attacked.
But it was Ivanov that took the stage win, with Iglinskiy 2nd and B-H in 3rd.

Santos Tour Down Under - Stage 5

The now infamous Willunga hill was the focus point of the day.
Gronlund stated his intentions early on by going solo for 70km beofre being joined by Frattini (UHC) and Hammond (GRM). Again Gronlund didn't take the jersey back but was only 8pts off the lead.
i1117.photobucket.com/albums/k587/Average_Man/SAS%20Nordic/gronlundsolo5.png

Despite a hard chase by SAS Nordic and Sky the break looked like succeding. It would still be a sprint for the podium as Gronlund had cracked.
Kristoff seemed to forget he was a lead-out man and left Boasson-Hagen to his own devices. B-H could only get up to 6th.
Frattini held on to win the stage, with Pettachi and Henderson completing the podium

Santos Tour Down Under - Stage 6

Adelaide was the backdrop of the final stage.
Gronlund got his full house by being in every BotD of the race, and his reward was the KoM. With only 3 others for most of the day he took the first climb, and 4th on the final climb. The group was always fated to fail, but lasted until 20km to go.

Rast (RSH) tried a late attack but only ever got 10".
The sprint was stndard affair, with wach team forming their own train. Pettachi took his second win, Henderson 2nd, and Boasson-Hagen getting his 5th podium.
