Luckily my leaders weren`t involved in the crash today. I feared worse when I had to scroll down for Hesjedal to one of the last places before the split. Just my 3 talents might have been involved there.
Passeron in the break was exactly the reason why I signed him, nice flat, hill and especially fighter stat with a decent sprint stat. Perfect breakaway rider.
Bad luck for Bianchi, but also Focus and Jayco.
Congrats to EmuExport |

And this just keeps getting easier for Valverde. Though I have to admit I'm on the lucky side after this stage

No riders in the crash, that is the only plus to tale from this stage.
There is no way I expected this to have such a massive line-up. I'm glad I didn't send Vanendert here.

Just what our season needed! (after the slow start)
Also please Augustyn dodged the carnage. |

Aru went in the ground, Marinangeli outside top 10, noone in the breakaway. I'm not satisfied, but as long as Valverde was outside top 3 and Di Maggio didn't crash, it was an okay stage.

I think that the crash ruined a lot for my team when it comes to the sprint.

Im not sure on that. The crash was in the 2nd half of the peloton, there was no reason to disrupt anything up front - and Greipel never had a leadout man anyway.

Well, I know where my training money is going for next season ... Disappointing result for the effort the team put in today.

There goes my best chance for a top 10 beyond a lucky breakaway. Ah well. Thankfully not too many more races for a while with terrible leaders.
Hushovd continues a great season, congrats to Saab.

What was my team doing today? Simply nothing. Without a sprinter and big GC contender I actually expected them to be in the break.
At least my leaders are still with the best before the hills and maybe they can show something unexpected there. |

Got to be a bit dissapointed Quinziato wasn't able to pinch the first stage. Stage win and leaders jersey would have been really nice for a couple of days.
Gatto put in a good effort first stage, but sum total of his achievements here not that good.
I'm sure Bianchi didn't, but I enjoyed seeing the big crash at the end of stage 1.
On to the business end of the race now - big question is who is going to get second behind Valverde??

Nice to see Evans in KOM contention. Next stage will be interesting, looks like a pretty difficult hill. |

Can we introduce a most-aggressive rider award? Roy for the win in every race so far! No one else seems to want to attack.

It's that dreaded anonymous race from the Jayco boys here, really gotta hope we are saving it for an unlikely breakaway attempt.
Cmon guys don't leave it for Focussed to take that aggressive rider jersey

Too much focuss on the trivialities of life, such as spelling
