How To Get A Jersey Into PCM 11
mattie524
JD317 wrote:i did all this once and the shirts didnt show up. i had to restore original folders before doing this all over again...exactly the same way...and voila there they were. so i can vouch that those steps above have worked for me

hey what do u mean by 'restore all original folders'?

mattie524
what the hell? thWhen i go to choose the jersey it just has a pink square (in the custom team setup in career mode) and then in the career mode there is a aqua square in the bottom left corner and all the dates are out of place..
when i go into a race my jersey works perfectly which im excited about but otherwise im kinda dissapointed..
not your fault tho but do u know how to get it back to normal??
ill try attach both screenshots in another post.. :/

restore all folders - so what i meant was i used folder c0 for some jersey files and by doing that, it basically wiped the existing c0 files. but as i said, it pays to copy the existing files so you always have a backup. when my additions...to c0 folder...didnt work, i copied back in the original c0 files. checked in game and there the original jersey was. so then i went back in the files and put my custom jerseys back in c0, started up game and there was my custom made jersey

i simply meant backup all your files (so copy the whole cyanide/pcm11 folder somewhere else - eg desktop, hard drive etc) so you always have a copy before you begin playing with files

as for the game not working because you played with the jersey files, im not sure how this happened. more info? did you play with any other files?

ohk.. well i originally had an icon on my desktop which i always used. then whilst changing the folders and stuff something happened and the game on the desktop didnt work. before that i had already copied a cyanide folder onto the desktop so i play the PCM.exe on their and it works. but now the two things i said before happened (blue and pink squares) and i dont know how it happened. I copied the PCM.exe from cyanide to the desktop but now i cant run it (it says PCM.exe system error: The program can't start because fmod.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem) but then it still works in the cyanide folder..

do you guys have any idea how to fix this?
i might not post back for a while but please help!

JD317
ahhh the good ol' pink squares. they have been raised numerous times throughout this forum and unfortunately cant point you directly where to go to in this forum off the top of my head. although in saying that, im not sure the pink squares that are normally referred to in this forum are related to yours

do you have the capabilities to upload what files you are trying to insrt in the game? custom jersey files...did you download the files from this forum?

to start with...id replace what you have added with the original cyanide files. then check the cyanide jerseys all display correctly. then from there, if you show us the files you are trying to incorporate, we can go from there Smile

the files simply musn't be added correctly to the files. that...or the files arent correct in size and formatting etc. maybe even naming. hence my post above Smile

Yeaa I'll replace them later. I can't do it now coz I'm in bed and I have school tomorrow and soccer training so I might be about the same time tomorrow but yea I did download them off this site. If you want to find them it's in jseadog's jersey requests forums and it's team Lamborghini- Monster on page 5 and those at all the transferts I downloaded.. I don't know how naming files incorrectly would make a big difference (or a pink or blue square) but wait I do remember doing some stuff wrong (on purpose). When u said put in a mini logo I didn't know what that was so I put in this other thing ( a transfert_av) and then u said there was another logo I had to do so I copied and pasted another file thing (transfert_at) because I didn't know what they were.. Do you think that's it??

mattie524
But if it doesn't have anything to do with the logos an minilogos I dunno what's wrong with my stupid game!! >Sad

JD317
yep that will be it. the transfert files must go in the 3D/Cyclists/Cloth/Team then whatever custom (cXX) folder you are using. they go in there along with the maillot and whatever other accessories you have

i know jdog's files very well so i know you would have got one folder, with a Gui folder within and also loose tga files (maillot, accessories, transfert files). all these loose ones go in the file i just stated above in this post

the Gui sub-folder open up and you will find two more sub-folders which will be "team" and "team shirt". so go into your "team" folder and you will find the logo and minilogo. you then go into Cyanide/PCM11/Gui/Team and overwrite the current custom files for both "logo" and "minilogo". for example - if you are using folder "c00" for your files, then rename the logo "c00" and paste over the existing one. also rename the minilogo "c00_minilogo" so it is the same name as the existing one...and paste over original file

for the team shirt (.dds file) - this is done in Cyanide/PCM11/Gui/Team shirt and rename your file to the same naming so C00_minimaillot and paste over original file

hope this helps mate. i can prob simplify it a bit more by using steps in numbered format but give it a crack first. just remember one to backup your original files (which i think you have), two place the files in the correct folders as i state here and three rename your files so they coincide with the folder you are using (eg c00)

good luck! Smile

mattie524
yea ok.. but which files go in the logo and minilogo places?
and im not sure if i did back them up..
yea ive got the .dds file and everything ok its just the pink square and blue square (which i think is related to the transfert_av and transfert_at files gone wrong)..
if its possible could you put a step by step guide on how to do it.
coz i only got this game like 3 days ago and im new to the files as i only discovered you could edit this cyanide folder yesterday.. thanks heaps man. Smile ill try it when i get home but im sorta guaranteeing i wont get it! hah!

JD317
ok...ill try (if you have windows 7...this would help more so)

if windows 7...open the folder jdog provided and open your mycomputer/c drive so they are side by side (this will just make it a bit easier)

1. rename all jdogs files so they begin with c00 (this includes logo, minilogo and minimaillot. i have mentioned before how to rename them exactly)

2. go into 3D/Cyclists/Cloth/Team and scroll down to folder c00. open the folder up. here you will see c00_maillot and the 2 transfert files

3. select all of the jdog files (everything bar the Gui folder...we'll get to that in a sec) and paste in the folder above. if you have named them c00_maillot, c00_transfert etc, then it should ask you whether to copy and replace existing files. you do want to do this (this is where i said backing up files becomes important - in case you mess up)

4. now out of the 3D folder and click on Gui/Team/Logo and this will have a list of .tga files that are logos. if you scroll down, you will find a file that is c00. dont touch anything yet

5. in jdogs folder, you will see the Gui sub-folder. open it up and you will see two more sub-folders - team and team shirt. open the team folder

6. here you will see two more folders - logo and minilogo. click on logo

7. rename logo to c00

8. copy and paste in the Gui folder. ask you to copy and replace - yes

9. now into the minilogo folder and rename the minilogo to c00_minilogo

10. find the Gui/Team/minilogo folder and paste your file in the step above into this folder. copy and replace - yes

11. in jdogs folder - Gui/Team shirt - you will see a minimaillot dds file. rename this C00_minimaillot

12. go into Gui/Team shirt folder and paste your minimaillot over the existing one

hopefully that is easy enough to follow mate. im not sure how much more i can simplify it Smile

if need be, let me know and i can quickly mock up some screenshots etc and send it you via an attachment

ohk thanks heaps man! really appreciate it! i should be able to go off that guide next time i go on the game and hopefully those stupid coloured squares go away!! if i do need screenshots i will post again but for now thanks heaps! hey do u think i should make a story?

JD317
no worries mate. a story...up to you really. me personally - ive thought about it but then i want to actually play a year in career first before i worry about making a story. but thats just me

alot of people who do stories toggle with databases as well to incorporate frames, edit stats and the likes. you certainly dont need to do this at all, but if you did, its a bit harder than adding jerseys to the game in my opinion Smile easily taught though. taking screenshots and uploading them and files on here is quite simple though and everything is once you get the hang of it Smile

yeaa maybe ill play a year or so. of course ill get the jersey working but yea.. and if i did do a story i probly couldnt be bothered to stuff with databases! ye i dunno how to take screenshots tho. or multiple ones. i know you press te print screen button but if you do multiple screenshots they erase the previous ones so im confused with that. but yea i might do one when im more experienced. i still dunno how to organise a sprint train!! haha! Pfft

JD317
screenshots = ctrl + t
they then get saved in your users/screenshots folders. too easy

if you hit ctrl + u first, this gets rid of all the graphics on the screen. you will like this feature for screenshots

plenty of videos and info on sprint trains. piece of cake Smile

yea but as i told u im sorta a rookie so i suck at stuff like this!! ahah! Pfft

mattie524
but just one question with ur guide.. in step 8, do i copy the whole gui folder or just the logo?
