nice video mate! i wasnt sure id learn anything that i havent before but i actually did. the follow other sprint trains if things are moving...i will admit i have never even thought of that!
how did you get it to fast forward quicker than 8x? maybe that is a really novice question but ive never seen a greater than 8x function

LoL, the game doesn't go faster that 8x but with at video editor I can speed the video up (Adobe will go to like 10,000x if you really want). What you see in that video is just me playing at regular speed and then editing a 27 minute replay down to about 4 minutes to be tolerable. Just like real cycling, especially on flat stages the first 2/3rds of the race are near uneventful.

Great video.. did u notice Cav on your wheel???
Couple of things to maybe add...
- At 10km mark hit the 'backspace' button so it organises your team from first place to last place... makes it easier to organize sprint train.
- Something i have noticed the AI do ALOT.. If Cav is on your wheel, delay your sprinter as long as you can to give Cav less time to go over the top. Instead of sprinting at 1.4, got at 900m-1km range.
I definitely like the 3000x speed on the stage load time.. |

My now favorite sprint tactic is to attack at 20km as hard as possible ... then after HTC catch you, whilst organising into a train ... slip your sprinter onto Renshaws wheel .... he will then lead you out to perfection! (i have done this 4-5 times and won, and 1 time when i came 2nd)

No, was not paying any attention to him, which is part of why I joked on it in the video, at that 17.5K mark I did go try and find him, saw he was in the back and didn't worry about it anymore...was focused on getting my train going good, then only noticed him again at the end when I set Farrar to sprint. I knew as soon as I hit Sprint for him that Cav was just going to go over the top at that point.
Didn't know about the backspace button, but yea that would be useful.

Surely Cav will be directly on Renshaw's wheel meaning that your guy will get more tired than Cav?

But it also seems like a waste of energy for the rest of your team for future stages. Why not just sit on Renshaw's wheel from the beginning? I'm not criticising you by the way, I'm just trying to learn.

The rest of the team dont do anything, one guy in the break, and the one crazy attack at the end ... the rest dont do any work.
Note; this is a tactic that only works if your sprinter is an outsider or better, and you dont have a good enough team for a good train (Vacansolei, Feillu is a very good sprinter, but lacks the team to pull him to the line, thus steal Renshaws wheel)

Gotcha, sorry I thought when you said "attack like mad" you meant you had a formed sprint train (which I just realised you couldn't do because you're at 20km). Didn't realise you meant attack with one guy. Got it, will definetly give it a try since my team is not sprint centric.

I think you haven´t mentioned the backspace key. It sorts the rider´s information on the left from the first to the last position. That´s helpful on moutain stages, when your top riders are on top and your sprinters on the bottom.

Hi.
I'm sorry if missed this in explanations, but i have a question. What means effort number going (sparkling) red. For example i have riders in peloton on 50% effort to maintain position. And on some sort of time their number start to sparkle in red colour. Is this meaning that i need to increase number, because peloton is going faster, because when the number is red riders start to falling back in the peloton. Or this is somthing else ? Thank you for answer. |
