Andrey Amador really gives everything he has. Again last one on this stage, and is now 7'56 in front... Jerome has to do something in the Alpes!

First Costa Rican (and last in the next 50 years) and he will never be forgotten with such an amazing performance. |

Why? I mean there is a Gregory Brenes out there in the world of cycling. More specific: he is riding in the Movistar conti team. If they pull him up to the first team and select him for the tour, while he is out of form, then...
(And yes, it is really hypocritical^^)

If all riders had to stop with the first rider finishing, Amador would have ridden 107,94km less. That`s almost one stage.

Updated after yesterday's stage :
01 | Andrey Amador (CRC) | Movistar | 63:45:42 | 02 | Vincent Jérôme (FRA) | Europcar | - 7' 54" | 03 | Fabio Sabatini (ITA) | Liquigas | - 8' 33" | 04 | Jimmy Engoulvent (FRA) | Saur - Sojasun | - 18' 56" | 05 | Danny Pate (USA) | HTC - Highroad | -20' 50" | 06 | Mark Renshaw (AUS) | HTC - Highroad | -22' 12" | 07 | Ramunas Navardauskas (LTU) | Garmin | -22' 28" | 08 | Mikhail Ignatiev (RUS) | Katyusha | - 22' 47" | 09 | Bernhard Eisel (AUT) | HTC - Highroad | - 23' 10" | 10 | Perrig Quémeneur (FRA) | Europcar | - 24' 50" |
Shall we keep faith in Vincent Jérôme, or will Amador manage to make it within the limits in every mountain stage ? |

Well, Amador was inside the Top 50 in last years Giro, so he can climb! |

Jerome is falling down on the leaderboard. After a good start, he's fallen down to 4th. Amador has a solid lead, but as we all know, this leaderboard can be turned upside down after just one single stage.
btw, Jerome made 45th place today. |

Jerome seems to find his form again after his injuries.
On one hand it`s good for him as he can ride better now. On the other hand he could have been the first every rider with 21 days of the Lanterne Rouge with a bit more effort.
Probably Voeckler`s yellow jersey ruined this record. ;( |

And there we have the 3rd rider with the Lanterne Rouge.
Amador amazingly left the last place today. The former last was in the break of the day and finished 12min ahead of the gruppetto.
New Lantern leader is Fabia Sabatini with 3min advance. |

Disgraceful tactics from Amador today. If he wants to win he has to get himself together a lose some serious time the next few days.

That was a stupid priority by Amador, but maybe he has great belief in himself for the upcoming mountain stages. |

Ladies and Gents, good morning.
It's the Amador - Sabatini faceoff.
After 3 time chekcs, Sabatini leads amador by 1 minute.
Amador needs to pull something very special here to win.
