same happened with italians
actually contador during the giro has been booed (with all the other riders) for the crostis shortcut, not for doping-related issues.
Wrong they booed him for what he did to nibali
What he did? Atacked against main rival before the end...twice.what in unethical there.
Like jalabert was saying after Schleck chain incidend. Ofcorse contador was right to keep riding. This is tour de france.
French boo was childish.. I am more and more ar contador side. What is this anyway? French justice? Contador should now win a tour with hugh margin..boo for this or take it away...it will be hypocrit french justice anyway.

Nah the way he did it , he let him come back just to attack him in the last km , that was childish , like a boxing match you give him 2 down and u dont want to knock down him again , because u want the match to go 12 rounds , and u just stay in the ring and do nothing.

Watch that stage again. He was with scarponi...did not worked. No need... fellow spaniard was ahead and Scarponi best and fastest rival in this moment. Then comes Nibali at behind.. Conta follows him as new best rival. Scaeponi droped.. Final km. Stage win was gone ..why not gane extra seconds and was there even
also extra seconds

He had the GT in the bag , no point in discussing over this there will always be arguments , pro conta pro nibali , the italians booed him for not fair-play from their point of view , the frenchies booed him for starting TdF , because any athlete in his position would have sit to clear his name , not to win Tdf then be stripped of title if he is found guilty just think of the damage he will done , we will have another Pereiro sio winner that will get the crown after 2 years and be another *winner in palmares.

I'm glad that I will not be able to see second half of TdF and won't see how Clenbutador will win it again.

I am a bit torn in the Contador case, since it's such small dose clembutrol. But he hasnt been convicted yet, and riders like Basso and Petacchi has, why not booing on them?

It really doesn't matter how much of banned substance you find in an athlete. To me atleast. Ofcourse Clenta would've known that he will be tested at TDF, so he doesn't want to contain in him the substance at the time. So he has taken the drug earlier, when training to tour. Only a stupid fuck would take it while in the competition. Like Landis.
So while that dosage they found from Clenta wouldn't improve his performance, the dosages he took has for certain boosted his ability. Clenbuterol is long lasting and makes muscle mass and also drops weight (takes fat prosentage down) among other good things, so if you take it before, it's unfair to the competition to those who doesn't take it. So, for a reason, it's banned to do so. Doping (in general) nowdays is not so much taking the drug at the time of the competition, but to take drugs in pre season training. For example drugs that boosts your recuperation from training and aids you to train more and more often.
I'm certain that Contador doped, and still dopes. He was already implicated in the puerto affair. Ofcourse others do it too. But Contador has got cought and should be banned. |

The amount doesn't matter imo. If they find him guilty, he should be suspended.

They were not booing Contador because he doped:

It's ethical to race 2 grand tours with ban looming? It's fair play to other cyclists to compete when it's propable that your victories will be passed on to the 2nd placed
But the thing is, Contador believes he's innocent and, accordingly, believes he's not going to be stripped of his victories. I think his behaviour is consistent. Besides, he didn't want to do the Tour in the first place, the sponsors pressed him to.
I never thought seeing him perform like he did at the Giro. After all that was going on, being provisionally suspended, not knowing if he was going to be able to race at all. Would make sense that he couldn't find the strenght to keep training, to keep training hard.
I don't know what amazed me the most. Winning the Giro from the beach against Ricco (2008) or winning the Giro like he did this year, with such dominance over the others (I know they were no Ricco, but still).
These two races and the 2009 Tour (LA vs AC) leave no doubt on me that Contador is one of the most mentally tough athletes of today's sport. And I think there is no doping product for that. He deserves at least some respect. As we all do, we are still human beings at the end of the day after all.
In another note, I am 100% against doping (as Contador claims to be). If he is found guilty he should be ashamed and retire from the sport. I'm in favour of second chances (Basso, Vinokourov,...). But enough is enough. I'm not in favour of second chances for everyone for the next 20 years. They have already been warned, it's not like they didn't know they would get caught. It's time to change, the fans are getting sick of it.

I see your point and i agree, but why didn't they get the positiv results earlier in the tour?

there are 2 possibilties:
1. contaminated beef
2. blood transfusion
now give a reasonable probability to each event |

That's your opinion but remember last year french people started to boo him after Contador took advantage of Andy's chain slip. |

Frankly, the fact they cheered for Vino is disgusting
