Interesting read... Too bad the AVR of a rider doesn't tell his suitability to do well. They are an indicator obviously, but to some extend it could be worthwile of going for riders with similar stats, but lower AVR, as they get significantly more racedays. - That should give more points, if used wisely. Obviously some riders are so good, that this is not the case.
Some very interesting statistics, but as SotD touches upon, average isnt always the most reliable device. I cant really agree with Bewley being the 3rd best value rider!

Id say this is more indicative of the squad youve built than renewals - the stat for who had the best renewals would be the to do with the sum of new wages on your team, and the sum of the minimum wage your riders would have taken - but I wont be releasing stats like that, as it might take away a bit of the intended mystery factor of just how renewals work.

I think the renewals weren't bad though. I'm sure neither Gesink or Plaza would have taken much less than I'm giving them.

Exactly. I don't think Bewley has so advantageous contract with me, I messed a little bit contract talks with him and he would still have so bargain contract with me?..
But anyway it could be worse.
