Speculation about Sky team ?
Bradley Wiggins
Rigoberto Urán
Xabier Zandio
Geraint Thomas
Edvald Boasson Hagen
Juan Antonio Flecha
Simon Gerrans
Greg Henderson
Ian Stannard/Matthew Hayman
I think the 8 above are certain. 9th position is probably the most speculative one. I think Stannard will go. He's done lot of TT training in preparation for the TTT, and would do similar job to Hayman in the lead out.

I may have been a bit slow on the uptake, but I've figured out Leopard's Tour team (or at least 8 of them):
The Luxembourg team (minus Mortensen):
Gerdemann
Monfort
Schleck F
Fuglsang
Cancellara
O'Grady
Voigt
Plus:
Schleck A
Brice Feillu? Thomas Rohregger? Fabian Wegmann?
Like a week ago I came to same 11 riders, only i had Zaugg as a posibility instead of Rohregger. The thing is that Feillu, Rohregger, Wegmann and Zaugg are participating in Dauphine Libere. So i think the choosing of last rider will mostly depend on performance at Dauphine.
Edit: My bad isso'.

Haven't been reading the news lately, but has Rogers's injury/illness made him miss the Tour? |

Yea. I don't think he will be fit to ride the Tour. He missed Tour of California, and then got a stomach bug and had to abandon Bayern. He was listed to ride Suisse but they have withdrawn him too.
On positive side J-L Augustyn is coming back later this month in tour de Sud from his hip injury. |

Cunego is betting his whole season on a good GC finish at the Tour

He's got to justify his salary somehow.

I think my head hurts I can already predict a quote like "I think I'll rather go into a (long )break and try to win a (semi-)mountain stage" after the first mountain finish... |

i know, i know. he's an excellent in the hilly classics. But i remember an interview of him saying that he wouldn't ride the giro. He wanted to focus himself 100% on the tour. And there he failed

Tiago Machado will be out for a while as he has a bad case of bronchitis.
He was sick the entire Giro, his team asked him to pull out and he refused. He's probably regretting that right about now.

Vaughters on the Suspcion list:
“You have to remember that the numbers on that list had a performance component, too. There was a performance component, and an unexpected performance component, and a when your most recent test was component AND the blood component. So, if you have a very low performing rider AND you have a very flat-line blood value, you're going to be a zero.
David Millar is the best example; he's a four (on the list – Bikezilla). David Millar has very, very stable blood values. Why is he a four? David is a four because David has a previous doping infraction. So, he's always going to be targeted. And I've always been told that, from the beginning; 'This rider will always be targeted no matter what.'

So that list had a performance component yet Popovych scored a 10/10 despite his best result of the season by then was a 10th place in the last stage of the AToC? Uhm....yeah.
Edit: And Cancellara a 0. Of course the guy wasn't performing then.

"Isn’t it amazing how Lance Armstrong used his weightloss, high tolerance to lactic acid, increased cadence, strict diet, relentless training, wind tunnel testing and superior equipment to master the sport of cycling in a way that nobody else ever has without cheating?"
Is that a hint of accusation I read from the writer. I don't think anyone trusts Armstrong anymore. |
