Umm...that semi final was absolutely horrendous. I heard a few of the songs beforehand and feared the worst, but it was even worse than I expected. It makes you realise that last year was actually a very high standard.
My favourite was Georgia. Yes, it was a bit weird, but it was at least something a bit interesting and had a catchy, not overly cheesy chorus. Doesn't stand a chance of winning even though it got through, mind.
But in the main, absolutely appalling. This seems like a battle not to win.
I'm waiting for the final show. Never saw much point in seeing the semi-finals. I vote for the song that I like the best at the moment, so I'd rather rely on the first impression
The Finland singer was really good. Maybe one of the best voices in this tournament. BUT definitely no song for the Song Contest. So I don`t think he will get a good result.
It's definitely not an ESC song. But as a song it was good. He has no chance in hell of winning. Although he reminds me of the Belgian entry last year, and hed did quite good
EDIT: just took a look at the odds from the danish bookmakers. He is actually a top 5 candidate accoridng to them

Actually he reminded me a lot on the winner song of 2000.
It`s not that similar to be honest but some parts are and for some reason I was listening to him and immediately thought on this song.
she makes me smile, hopefully one day I will get the chance to meet her, get an autograph and picture Lena is amazing

Actually I don`t really understand you as her music is just so annoying after a while.
I can kinda follow him (not a stalker joke) She has this charm, but her voice is quite annoying
The 1st semi-final was some kind of disappointment
The first ones were very.. I'd say they gave what they can
For example the polish entry, my parents come from Poland so..
Why do they always put a ok singer with a polish text and some 90s dancepop music
Why don't they do it like Finland/Germany (put a good singer on the stage alone or with some dancer but with a text in english) or like Russian (get some money, ask some producer/songwriter to get a song and get a singer, I think they asked the producer/songwriter of Lady Gaga)
I had a big WTF moment after I've seen the Portugese entry, you know how to make fun of yourself?
Or the Greece entry "50 cent meets theatre" and they are even in the final
I'd say the biggest surprise is Finland, it was very good and I think he will make the Top 10 maybe Switzerland could make it also, it wasn't bad
