Mission Accomplished
As predicted, the critics have been forced to eat their words throughout March as Emu Export finally take control of the peleton.
Magno Nazaret scored a podium stage and top 10 overall at the Corsica International. But the real highlight was Mikayil Krasnoperov's maiden GC victory at the Tour of Taiwan. Giving the team a big tick next to their first goal of the season, keeping the sponsors happy!
Emu Export dominated the race by taking out stages: 5, 6, 7 & 9; thanks to Seeldrayers, Kairellis, Montenagro and Krasnoperov.
However it was Krazzo's big win on stage 9 which was enough to secure him a 40 second win on GC. He said he was happy with the race and never had any doubt he would take the win (along with the U25 classification). The following interview was taken shortly after the victory.
Krazzo, I bet your family back home in the Ukraine are very happy with the win?
My family are very proud. But my brother warns me to stay away from "lady-boy's" in my celebration tonight...He knows from a bad experience.
At what point did you take the GC leadership off John-Lee Augustyn?
I knew I would get myself into a breakaway on stage 9 right from the start of race. It was always the plan. Stop implying it was luck. Everytime you critics lie a kitten dies.
How did you cope with the humidity in Taiwan?
Before the race we went to Indonesia for training of this kind. It was fun apart from the insane driving habits of the locals, I think I almost died 10 times.
What is your next target race?
You will probably see me next at the Tour of Austria. I plan for another good performance, hopefully top 10.
Thanks for your time.

Taiwan really was a great race for you. 378 rankings points from 10 race days, not bad at all!

Augustyn 2nd in Japan!
John-Lee Augustyn has pleased the sponsors by finishing 2nd in the General Classification of this weeks' Tour of Japan.
Finishing on the podium 2 times and a strong mountain TT was enough to secure 'Jonho' 2nd place overall. Here are his comments:
What results were you aiming for leading into the race?
Well, to be honest I thought I'd get a stage win on stage 4. But Froome was on fire and got a well deserved win, probably his 100th of the season... Top 3 GC was the goal, and that was achieved.
How vital was the team in getting you that top 3 GC result?
Not very, I was basically on my own for most of the race. I'd go as far to say the the team performance was pretty lazy. We need to kick everyone into gear during our mid-season training camp in May.
Will this result lead to better ones throughout the season?
How is that even a valid question? Are you suggesting that there is a possibility it wont lead to better performances? Get the hell out of my house.
In other news:
The team will be on a training camp during May. The late surge from Emu Export will continue post break - We continue our campaign in Guatemala, where the team will aim for their sponsor goal of TOP 5 GC.
That is all.

Evans Crashes in Training Ride
Team icon Cadel Evans has taken a nasty fall during a descent on a training ride through South America on Tuesday. He was immediately flown to hospital and treated by doctors at the scene. They plan to have him fit to race just in time for the Tour of Guatemala next week.
This is good news for team leader Magno Nazaret, who has recently confirmed he will be appearing in the upcoming race.
In other news, fans of Nico Gauer will be pleased to hear his autobiography is being released next week. Some critics say the book has come a little too early in his career, but Nico emphasizes that the people criticizing his book will probably be dead by the time his career ends, so they should consider themselves lucky.
From South America, that is all... |

Emu Export in talks with Valverde
In light of news coming through today about the dispersion of a few notable Man-Game teams, Emu Export's sponsors were seen today having coffee with the Spaniard superstar.
When Emu Export management were confronted about the issue, they replied with the following pre-prepared statement:
"we double shotgun him no returns"
That is all. |

No More Export?
Discrete man-game DS Jack888 uploaded this photo to his twitter while reportedly on a "business trip" to an unidentified location.
The tweet has sparked out-roar amongst fans who demand more information. But nothing has been confirmed or denied since. Is it all a wind up, or signs of a new beginning?

Team Bintang 2013
It's official, the deal is done. In 2013 the team is moving into the lucrative Asian market, Team Bintang will be based in Indonesia, but will also call South East Asia home.
An interview with the team director has just been released:
So Jack888, what are the primary motivations for this move?
As you may have noticed the squad has become largely international this year, we don't really identify solely with Australia anymore and prefer to appeal to a bigger audience. We can target many countries throughout the pacific (including AUS and SA) by moving north in 2013.
Tell us a bit more about your main sponsor for 2013.
Bintang is one of Indonesia's top beers, especially for tourists. These days Bintang is a product of Heineken, one of the worlds largest brewers and they are looking to promote Bintang on a worldwide scale in 2013 by sponsoring a Pro-Continental team.
Can you discuss any other sponsors that may come on board?
Not that this point, hopefully this key announcement will bring in sponsorship offers.
Why always beer?
Why not?
Anyway, thanks for your time. As always, good luck heading into the last few races of the season.
That is all. |

Late Charge for Export
Emu Export have secured 300 points in their HC goal race the "Tour of Portugul". Krazzo and Navarro both securing a top 10 GC spot to secure the goal and plenty of points.
Experts predict the only way from here is up for Emu Export, who have a lot of race days left and are predicted to place highly in all of them. JL Augustyn will seek to place highly in the Veulta a Burgos, Magno Nazaret will look to clean up the Tour of Colorado (win goal) and Daniel Navarro will seek to perform in the Tour of America, which will help seal a top 5 C1 America placing.
Currently the team sits in 15th place, manager Jack888 is hoping for top 12. If not, he will blame the commissaire's.... or global warming.
That is all

Raisin takes GC lead
Emu Export lead the Tour of Colorado after hometown hero Saul Raisin has taken the 5th stage and the GC lead. The team plans get behind him and keep the pace very high on the final 3 stages in an attempt to secure yellow jersey - taking out that main season goal.
The one man who can potentially put a stop to this great success is Marco Marzano, many are cheering on the Italian superstar but little do they know every time Marzano wins a stage a kitten dies.
Good luck Saul
That is all. |

Raisin Holds On!
Raisin pictured on the stage 7 podium alongside Victoria Secret models, Rosie Huntington (left) and Miranda Kerr (right)
Saul Raisin has been crowned "King of Colorado" after holding onto a 3 minute lead in the final 2 stages. Marzano gave it a real crack, but it wasn't enough to dislodge Saul or his team-mates, which secures yet another Emu Export goal.
The media have been asking about one incident inparticular, and that is about when Magno Nazaret took off on stage 7 to cover Marzano in the unlikely event he got enough time back on Raisin. Jack888 has issued a public statement saying : "I find his lack of faith disturbing.....thcwaaaaaa....choooooooooo........"
In other news, sponsors are very happy with the team and are already signing blank cheques ahead of next season. Emu have achieved 4/4 goals so far and will undoubtedly finish top 5 in the C1 America tour to secure 5/5. This is much better than last season's effort of 0/5. (seems like the torture worked)
That is all.

And we conclude the 2013 season in 13th, a place the manager would have taken at the start of the season.
The sponsors are happy as all 5 goals were achieved.
The riders will be off on a week's holiday to Thailand during the off season to celebrate, and get pumped for season 13 which should see more success.
Thanks to all our followers, we will see you on the other side! |
