Ohh... Hadn't seen that... How can your team get 159 then? 105 for 3rd and 35 for the 7 riders getting through the race? I must have the wrong pointscales... Not that it matters, cause in general I get the same result as you do

Ahh alright. Thanks for clearing that up. I couldn't get my own points right either... Oh well... The big picture is the same, but of course as close as it is now it really means quite a lot :-)

Great win for Van Garderen, the race set up perfectly for him. In races like Badaling i hope for good results be he tends to be around or outside tenth pretty often. Need more good results to try to sneak into the top 3 at the end of the year.

A lacklustre race for La Gazzetta and both Festina and Wikipedia are close the gap to them by almost 200 points in the fight for 2nd. 3rd for Schleck helps Vesuvio to continue their climb up, overtaking Jack Wolfskin. While Kolesnikov leads Warner Bros into 9th, ahead of Domina Vacanze.
Starbucks are the only big scorers outside the Top 10, and they lift themselves up above Energie. Only 125 points separates 15-18th though, the relegation battle remains too close to call.

Schleck is back up into the top 10, climbing 4 to 8th. Van Garderen's win puts him 30th, while Visconti goes 39th, and Ulissi 42nd. We also had our first stagiares in action, not all finished, but some did - and earn some ranking points thanks to it.

I think you are the team best suited for a top 3 besides La Gazzetta... You have a pretty strong overall team. Tejay van Garderen will score decent in the hills, Burghardt should podium in the TONE, Zabriskie could win the Chrono des Herbies and I guess that either Phinney or Zabriskie is riding one or both of those last tours?
I guess that TONE and the Chrono will be the winning stunt. Otherwise it will be Schleck that will send Vesuvio up...

Unfortunately i dont have much in Austarias but Zabriskie is well suited to a good Duetschland tour with the tt and all. Van garderen and Burghardt both going to TONE hopefully covers me either way it turns whether in favor of punchuers or cobblers. It will be hard to overtake you and Gazzeta, especially with Vesuvio closing very rapidly

I think I will end up 4th. I can't see me ending up higher as I have no riders for neither TONE nor the Chrono... Sammy and Ulissi are performing well in the hills when looking at the overall throughout the season, but are a bit inconsistent imo... Carlos Castaño is definately not among the strongest in the Deutschland Tour, and should be lucky to get top 8 or so... In the Asturias I have Sammy Sanchez and Castaño. I need some good results there to get top 3 I think...
Vesuvio have Schleck for the hills and 3 strong Tour riders for the Asturias and Germany. La Gazzetta is a big questionsmark for me. I have no idea how many racedays Bennati, Rogers and Cunego has left... I would guess that Cunego is in Asturias and some hilly races, while Rogers is in germany and Chrono and Bennati is probably in one of the tours and perhaps the Fourmies...

Pretty much, Bennati only has Fourmies but apart from that you are spot on.

So they have a good race schedule also... Will be very much up to the form of the day in each race whether or not La Gazzetta will keep performing. Imo they are probably the best equipped for 2nd, and then Wiki for 3rd, and Vesuvio vs. Myself for 4th...

Well, Wikipedia have TONE and Herbiers - but Van Garderen wont necesarilly score well elsewhere. Zabriskie is in Deutschland, but a lot of top riders are there looking to make the mountain stage count.
I think youll get 3rd SotD

I'll take you on that one - And if we can get La Gazzetta thrown out for inactivety then I'm happy

A top 10 and two top 15's. I'll take that as a wild-card with a strong field. |

8th for Plaza is good. And a strong ride from van der Hugenhaben and Van Huffel as well.

A surprising lack of attacks all round - I wasnt sure if the finish was actually the finish, or a whole lap still to go. But thats works out perfectly. You dont bring Frank Schleck to an uphill sprint finish, and let him get near the front, then expect to be doing anything other than fighting for 2nd!
After the way he won his first FBD stage, I was fairly confident from the shot at 2.5km to go, and he duly delivered.
P.s. Crue getting nervous yet? All Rodriguez seems to do right now is crash!

If Zagreb is the WC course, may well see a similar winner. |

Thats what I'd hope - but as is so often the case, it can be a lot harder for Schleck to make the effort and ensure he is at the front with 1km to go. If he gets there though, he is hard to beat

Bakelants Just a shame he always attacks but never seems to able to stay away. A 2nd in an uphill sprint is more than satisfying given he had attacked earlier.
Also, nice of Fothen to take the plunge this season to make it easier for him to take a huge pay cut next year
