I recently installed patch 1.0.4.1 and the Daily.db.
I played Qatar and managed to win with Hushovd. The AI sprinters were a bit crap, but when the sprinters did sprint they had some kick and were able to pass lead out guys / non sprinters. So far, so good.
Played Het Volk last night and encountered the sprint bug again I think though. The race came down to a group of about 20 into the final 5km. It was a good race up to that point. I was pretty confident of my chances, Hushovd was there along with Haussler. Haussler had all his 'energy' left and is 10 points fitter than Hushovd. Thor will lead him out - the sprint begins just inside 3km, my duo are positioned five back in a group that is now spread out across the road and what do you know? No rider in the lead group is able to pass anyone else. They all 'sprint', but all we have is a procession into the finish....Most unamusing.
Is this something that affects the cobbled races or have I just hit a blip?

Happens to me sometimes, it doesnt matter if on cobblestones or not.My sprinter is clear favourite,has full bars and is unable to past somebody, even with 1.0.4.1.
Well, my last night experiencie with this: (i play with 1.0.4.1)
Kuurne-Bruxelees-Kuurne, last 7 kms, i did my sprint "treno", Geraint Thomas was the head, Avermaet second sprinter and Haussler in third position as sprint leader, 2.5 kms to finish, and the sprint begins, so, Pozzato, Devolder, Cancellara, Flecha (with awesome aceleration) an others, did a good sprint, 2 kms to finish, avermaet launch haussler to victory, and 1 km to finish, Haussler starts his sprint in a realistic way, finally, i won the race, so, it was very good in my opinion seems realistic

I don't really care about my sprinter getting past - it's when nobody gets past that bothers me.
I'm kind of scared of wasting what time I have playing on further.
Hi.. I am playing with patch 1.0.4.1.
I am playing with a custom team, in the giro 2012, haussler was on turgots wheel in the sprint. Got a perfect leadout from sebastian chavanel. Turgot leaded into 1.5 km mark, then haussler launched, and got in front. But here's the thing.. Haussler was sprinting, he had like 60 km/h, the fastest in the peleton, but it was just like he was stopping up. he ended up in 40 position. He was litteraly standing still. But the speed was 57-60 km/h in the graphic.
Sometimes the sprinter stops. He was faster than he actually should be before. So the graphic showed 60 but he was supposed to be 50 for example. So the game realizes it with 5m to go for example and stops him to make the result realistic.
So the sprint looks weird but in the end the result is correct. Luckily this happens very rarely.

Maybe your Hushovd is not in form? What is his fitness level?
I don`t have any problems to win sprints.
When a 75 rider is in a great shape then you can beat Cavendish, but if Cavendish also is in a great shape then he is close to unbeatably by most sprinters.
Hm just to recap cause this issue is driving me mental aswell. Winning a sprint is virtually impossible.
So you need the 4.2 patch for this to work properly or? Problem is I have that patch installed. It's the only one I have installed though, but that shouldn't be the problem should it?
