Giro - Ricco
Tour - A.Schleck
Vuelta - Menchov after a fail at the Tour
Gilbert to dominate classics but miss out at Flanders again
Greipel to struggle to win races without Columbia support.
Cav & Renshaw to have a big fall out (the clues are already there) and one of them not to ride the Tour.
Another big doping scandal before the TdF |

Sagan wins Tour Med, Paris-Nice, but his positiveness is announced the day prior to MSR.
Vinokourov drops Gilbert on the Poggio and wins MSR.
Ullrich announces his come back on 1st April.
Ullrich announces he never planned to come back on the 2nd April.
Cancellara has no motorbike this year, and gets dropped by Boonen both in RVV and Paris-Roubaix, though Boonen climbed Grammont 3 seconds slower than in 2010.
Boonen is caught positive with cocaine one week after Roubaix.
Armstrong announces partnership with *insert major US company name here*, and says he has to ride the TDF one last time, though he's been looking out of form during his first races of the season.
Di Luca wins AGR and LBL, then finishes 2nd behind Anton, but before Basso at the Giro.
Contador's ban ends soon before the Dauphiné. He does no stage top-5 and hardly achieves a top-10 there. Though, he wins the Spanish ITT championship a few weeks later.
The FDA's trial against TailWind Sports (US Postal, Armstrong, etc.) starts during the last week of the Giro. L.A. is proved to have cheated a few days prior to the TDF. He's not present at the race, because of an illness he caught in a French restaurant during the Dauphiné (rumours of poisoning by jealous Froggies arise).
Contador lost one minute to Franck Schleck before the mountains, he's third in the GC after two weeks but didn't lose one more second, and he crushes every one in the last two mountain stages.
Lance Armstrong is condemned to spend one year in jail the day before the Tour de France ends. People hardly speak about Contador's fourth (third ?) TDF win.
Thomas Dekker won the last ITT. He'll win Eneco Tour and the ITT WC (Cancellara won't be there).
Anton wins the Vuelta, Contador was preventively suspended because of salbutamol, but he claims he had a certificate for asthma.
Greipel beats Cavendish at the WC. He won the TDF green jersey and one stage, but didn't beat Cavendish in a bunch spring one single time during the season, except for the Worlds.
Gilbert does one more razzia in the late classics. |

Allright here are my predictions for 2011
MSR: Cav
Vlaanderen: Boonen
PR: Cancellara
LBL: Gilbert
Giro: Scarponi
Tour: Contador
Vuelta: Samuel Sanchez
WCITT: Cancellara
WCRR: Cav
Lombardia: Ricco
Also: Cav wins Green, Gesink white+top 5, Van den Broeck top-3
* At least 1 big name gets caught on doping.
* Giro will be less awesome than 2010, but still way better than the Tour
* Vino will suck and retires at the end of the season

Time for one of those not quite so predictable Roubaix wins this year...how about Gerient Thomas or Haussler?
Nibali wins the Giro, Anton the Vuelta...
The tour the soap opera begins with is Contador in or out.. for the overall you gotta go with Andy Schleck though no-one else can live with him in the mountains other than Contador. Something like Schleck - > Basso - > Van den Broeck perhaps?
Frank to take out one of the Ardennes, LBL seems most likely.
Whats left for team sky? Rogers to win some races like Romandie and Califiornia and Wiggins to get back into the top ten at the tour. Boessen Hagen could take stage wins outside of the Le Tour but I cannot see him outsprinting the best sprinters no matter how good his lead out is. MSR is his best shot at a big win this year for me.

Tour:
A. Schleck : Champion
Menchov : top 5
Fuglsang : top 15
Rodriguez to win 1 stage
At the Giro, I think Kreuziger will be on the final podium, but not as champion.

Nibali fails at everything next year. Showing that the Vuelta win was just a fluke.

More like very wishful thinking along with Taaramäe winning le Tour (as much as I'd like it it won't happen anytime soon).

He was 10th thanks to that big break, but he did well in the mountains, that has to be said. |
