Any good ideas for PCM.daily's upcoming 2011 DB? This is the place to post them.
Please, do not discuss stats in this thread. We have a separate thread for that. Fixing bugs is a good suggestion, but needless to mention since we're doing our best to fix as much as possible from the Bug Report thread. |

well about the bugs or something unfair. In the db you should give each country an equel number of people who can vote for the cyanide trophy. Because if Roche would win giro he could never win the trophee because every spanish vote goes to Contador because he won the tour. that makes 15 votes or so but if Roche wins the tour he'll only get 2 votes because there are only 2 irish votes.
sorry for very bad english but it's a bit hard to explain.

I have no reason to believe that nationality plays a big (if any) role in the Cyanide Trophy vote. |

In my career Cancellara (RVV&PR) won ahead of Cunego (Giro) and Menchov (Tour). I guess there aren`t that many Suisse and Russian journalists than Italian
.
But Hesjedal was 8th or something like this with 1 vote by an Canadian paper

Wait how do you see who voted for who? Is this something you have to find with an editor? |

I am not 100% as I am in the mid season, but I am quite sure that I was able too see it when the award was.
Will check it later after the 2nd season. |

You can see it in-game in the list with journalists. |

it does play a role i've won Giro with Roche and both irish votes went to Roche. and 90% of all spanish votes went to contador who won the tour and the vuelta. |

Well Giro 1 GT, Tour and Vuelta 2 GT`s. Even if it has an influence, who knows, have to test it first, it`s realistic.
Tour is the biggest plus Vuelta. |

Either way, it's not unrealistic to have more Spanish cycling journalists than Irish. Same goes for reality. |

Yes but i think it's weird that not one spanish vote had Roche in 3rd place or higher. |

@sam1196
Really? Could you imagine a Spanish journalist who'd put almost ANY non-hispanic rider on his top 3? |

no but 1,2 and 3 were Contador, Anton, Freire. and those three were the only spanish cyclist that were nominated. |

My suggestions:
Less really bad riders aged about 27 with an average of below 60, but some more young riders instead. Moreover, some old equipment can be left out (imo).

Andy schleck goes to other team after 1st season, think he should have bigger contract with Lux team and all the other main riders,Euskatel loose Sanchez and that sprinter(dont remember)at first year too.. contracts could be updated..
PS-and some equipment could be out, there is equipment from teams that dont exist anymore, could change that with some fantasy frames or just take them out..db not so heavy.
