Santos Tour Down Under Stage 4
The day seems to have sprinters all over it, and I ain't gonna sugar-coat it. Anyway the stage started off with 30km of rest and relaxation which quickly became work after a break which we neglected to be a part of we clear. Time rolled by and it was clear that today was going to come down to a sprint unless someone made a late attack from the peloton for the win, like something Michael Ignatiev would do. That didn't happen though and we set up our unbeaten sprint train. Rojas came out from behind Drujon and had to pass Bozic and Cavendish if he was going to win. He pulled really hard and it looked like he was going to pass Cav by the end but.
Unfortunately Cavendish held on for the win and Rojas had to settle for 2nd. Cavendish clearly was the better sprinter today and it will be scary later on in the season when Cav gets a train for his sprints.

So I guess this means I don't need to switch to extreme anymore?
Anyway I will try to post a stage today, but I've got hockey so depending on how long it goes till or if it gets cancelled from the weather will be the only factors on iff I get it reported tonight. |

Santos Tour Down Under Stage 5
The profile looks a little too tough for the pure sprinters. Maybe Rojas can make it over them and be in contention for the sprint, but we beleive we can win the whole tour with an attack on the final hill, if Rojas is in trouble.
The days break. Most are 5+ minutes back and the peloton didn't chase them very much.
On the final hill of the day, Bazayev created a gap. He must have had the legs today, as he is not usually noted as a climber.
While also going up the hill LL sanchez attacked. He nearly reached the BOTD but rested a little so he could make the time up on the break.
And with 10km left he is within sight of Bazayev. Sanchez has about 30 seconds to the main chase group though.
With 4km left all the sprinters teams make trains and Rojas felt able enough to sprint today. He would play on the defensive of Sanchez though so that if possible he could get a time gap.
But both Bazayev, and Sanchez had nothing left and were swept up by the last dashes of the sprinters. But who won?
Rojas narrowly won, after Cav came around the others and was travelling at a much faster speed.

Santos Tour Down Under Stage 6
Today is the last stage of the biggest race in Australia, normally but this season the World Championships are also taking place here, so it is the 2nd biggest. Todays stage is one that the sprinters will be looking forward too, but also the breakaway specialists. If we want Rojas to hold onto his lead in the GC we will have to work very hard today.
We set out in Adelaide today. The course is a criterium so we will travel the exact same roads numerous times during the day. Surprisingly only 1 breakaway rider went clear today, Ignatiev of Katusha. We didn't work too hard during the middle sector of the race and only with 20km left did we have more than one rider at the front helping chase back the 2:27 gap of Ignatiev's.
Eventually he was caught. This forced us to work very hard at the front to ensure of no late attacks. Once that was done we set up a sprint train like usual. The sprint began and LL Sanchez was the early leader. Rojas went around him and Cavendish came out of nowhere and looked to be passing Rojas.
But Jose held on. What a tour for him as he won all but one stage and takes the overall, Points, KOM and Youth classifications.

Yeah I think there must have been points given on stage 3 where we owned the podium.
And yeah I'm playing extreme the next couple of races. |

Grand Prix Cycliste la Marseillaise
Should be a fun ride. Especially playing on extreme. We brought some of our stronger frenchies and we also brought Uran who we hope can get a high placing. Moreau might be aging but we think he may have something left for today to maybe go out in the break.

Grand Prix Cycliste la Marseillaise
The stage doesn't have one flat section for the riders. This should benefit for a break, although it is a one day classic and the riders have come here to win. Hopefully there will be surprises as we don't want it to be an easy do for the opposition.
Early on in the day Moreau with a bunch of other riders attempted to get away, but one of those riders was marked by the French teams so they did not get away. However 30km later a break was formed with one of our riders; Perget (pictured).
Their max timegap was only 4 minutes so the break seemed doomed all day. Perget did try an attack a few times, but none succeeded, and they were caught with 15km left.
Then the main group just slimmed out after riders couldn't handle the intense speed. Uran and Lastras could manage though. Bbox looked the strongest in numbers and were the biggest threat as the sprint started.
And the Conti Tour leader Fedrigo takes the win. We wanted Uran to follow Elmiger (AG2R) as we thought he would be the best sprinter here, but I guess we were wrong.

Thanks to his stage 4 win Yoann Offredo won the 2010 edition of this race. Pasamontes did pretty well as we were not expecting him to do that well.
