Did you copy the cm_stages folder before?
Then you have to overwrite everything.
Then there should be many variants in CM_Stages. Also make sure you also copied the variants folder in CM_Stages.
If you start a new career then and open this savegame with the full editor, there should be some more variants.
Otherwise check if the 2008... files are in CM_Stages and not somewhere else.
Also try to simulate some days before leaving the new career and open it then. |

hi again, i just got the variants to show up in the full editor chart. but i am not sure how to copy the chart and add it to the other one (copy as in ctr+c or is there some technical stuff i should know about). and thanks alot for the pcmdaily db its awsome it added some cyclist from syria tunisia and algeria and lots more plus added the spidertech canadian team which was also awsome. but i am not sure about the bikes and the riders skins so is there a way to use the bikes from another db say the maxdb 2010, and about the rider skins can i just have it like normal meaning all cyclist look alike. thanks alot guys |

At first you should take a weekly save of your savegame. They are in mydoc/pcm10/database/weeklysave I think.
Take one which is in the end of December and definitely before 01.01.2011 otherwise the variants are in your 3 season instead of your second.
Then extract the full editor. There should be a database and a export folder now.
Put your savegame in the database folder and open the editor.
In "database in" you choose this one (make sure that your save is one word and has not " " in it. Then you type a random name in folder out and click import.
Then you can open the export folder and there must be the new named folder now.
If you scroll down there should be the DYN_Variant_stage.
Just copy both of these files.
Then do the same procedure with your max db save. Just with another folder out name. Then copy the two files in this new folder and overwrite the old files.
Then go into the editor again and choose this new folder in Folder in.
Choose a random database out folder and click export.
This new savegame is again in the database folder. This one is the savegame you load in the game. Nothing is changed but the variants.

Hi everybody, first at all, I must apologize for my bad English.
Well, I play with the original DB, and I am at 30th december 2011, in this moment I tried to add variants and as I am a novice I am trying to add only one variant for Paris-Nice, well I did the following step:
1. I downloaded the files
2. I put the .cds and .zces files into CM_stages folders
3. I put the .descr and .rule files into Variant folders
4. I Started a new game, I simulated until january 15th and exited de game
5. I opened the new game DB with full editor, extracted the tables DYN_Variant_Stage and DYN_Variant_Date and copy these tables
6. I opened the old game DB with full editor, and paste the tables copied in 5.
7. In DYN_Variant_Date I changed the gene_i_date numer to "1325548800" (without "" 2012 January 3rd.Then save, export a new db and continue this as your save game
8. I started the game with this new savegame.
My problem is Paris-Nice is the same to the last years. I check the tables and the variants are there but if a advance to the start of Paris-Nice the stages are the same to the last years. What I´m doing wrong???
Y copy the rules files:
rules file:
<rules>
<!-- Date de changement de parcours-->
<rule month="1" year="-1"/>
<!-- Parcours prédeterminé certaines années -->
<defined year="2011" variantMin="2" variantMax="2"/>
<defined year="2012" variantMin="2" variantMax="2"/>
<defined year="2013" variantMin="2" variantMax="2"/>
<defined year="2014" variantMin="1" variantMax="1"/>
<defined year="2015" variantMin="2" variantMax="2"/>
<defined year="2016" variantMin="1" variantMax="1"/>
<defined year="2017" variantMin="2" variantMax="2"/>
</rules> |

I never edited variant date. Not sure if this is bad?!?
Try it this way:
1. Copy zces and cds into CM_Stage
2. Copy rules and descr into variants
3. rule should be like yours with <defined year="2012" variantMin="2" variantMax="2"/> and the descr then of course number 2.
4. - 6. as you said just without variant_date.
7. Export the new DB with the integrated variant_stage table.
8. Play the new extracted savegame.
Normally now there should bea message on 03/01/12 that Paris Nice has a new course. Variant_date should be unnecessary because the variant is defined as 2012 variant 2 and if the descr is also 2 this variant should be used.
Worked for me without problems without variant_date. |

Thanks for your replay
3. rule should be like yours with <defined year="2012" variantMin="2" variantMax="2"/> and the descr then of course number 2.
Must I delete de following line in line in rule file???:
<defined year="2011" variantMin="2" variantMax="2"/>
4. - 6. as you said just without variant_date.
You mean not to edit (copy ) DYN_Variant_Date table or not to edit gene_i_date column in DYN_Variant_Date. |

Don`t change the rule at all. Should be okay that way. At least I think so.
4.-6. copying DYN_Variant_stage like you explained. But don`t change/copy/or do anything with other tables. |
