It sucks that some people think hacks on regular (and fun) websites are fun.
If there's anything we can do (storage, uploads, file-checks, etc.) let us know. |

Thanks for all the kind words and replies, much appreciated; but it doesn't bring the ppdb forum back.
But it's not the end of the world, it's just a minor strike in the face of me and the ones who enjoyed our website through the years. Let's not overdo it.
And I would strike back if I could, but I simply can't. Have no idea how to rebuild the community and far from the energy to start it all over.
All we can do is sit back and put the hopes on the Webgremlin as beeing the one who builded the forum to see if he has some major trick to pull from his sleeve to, at least, restore the basics of the forum.
@T-Photon: that response of you, after that ban for whatever reason it was and I forgot, is class. Respect.
For now I'm going to play the game for a while. Something I didn't do too often. And most certainly will not refrain myself from further building on db's, even if I can't share them for improvement and adjustments with the forum.
btw: I don't believe it was a "PPDB-attack" but more a random attack. We just had bad luck.
@Crue: If you want to remove this thread from this section, I will fully understand it. |

Terrible news.
I will be missing the good people at PPDB.
Thanks to all for the years of enjoyment the site brought to myself and others.
The link will remain on my desktop...in hopes of one day connecting. |

This is awful, if there is anything I can do.
ppdb's are the best, I hope you somehow manage to get them back up and running.

Maestro, i must say: your last update for PCM 10 is fantastic!
Probably it's "een schrale troost" but every little positive word can help ;-) |

I wish technicians can help you. I expect they can put the backup online soon.
Good luck

That sucks, your 2005 Giant is what got me into PCM.
I heard something about being able to use the google cache image to recreate a downed page. Is that possible here? |

Yeah, my first game was the pro cycling manager 2005, and your DB was the best. It's too bad that there are people which do sth. like that |

Anyway...
An improvement for the released update is this database:
https://www.filefr..._Plus.cdb/
That now finally tackles the annoying problem we had with subscribing for 1.2 and 2.2 races. This database makes that now possible during career. In the past your subscriptions where always refused for the smaller races. No guarentuee that you will be always granted to start; but al least you now have a fair chance to compete when you subscribe.

What an horrible thing!!! There are some bad people around the internet that get themselves satisfied with the chaos and destruction of others' hard work |

Jeez, what loser has time for killing the fun of people. Oh my...
A bit sad for me too, my reports of my cycling career gone, probably lots of people lost nice careers and off course you a mountain of work But indeed, this ain't a drama, let us not forget that, people in Pakistan aren't lying awake in their beds becos of a vanished forum!!!!
Enjoy the game a bit now Ron! You now have the time to work on a db whenever you want to, without pressure of anybody. Feel free to contact me by email or so if you need some help (I don't check this or other forums regularly) |

I don't think this was a random hacker. 2 nights ago. (21st) the site was also down, like maybe that was a "test run". At first I didn't think of it but as I was falling asleep I thought about it more and realized it is now more of a possibility. Also what a coincidence that thyis happened (on the 21st) after you had mentioned the 2010 package would be up the next day, and then coincidentally, right after you put up the links to the package it gets hacked. Doesn't seem random to me.

Very sad news....I've enjoyed the DB's for PCM 2006 and 2009...And the stories of Talley, The Recycling and so on...
Hope that the site will be back soon...
As we say in French: "Courage Plakker". Take time for you now...
If I could catch those s*** of b****, I would put my PCM collection in the a** |

Be assured that we will keep trying to get the forum back on line, but we are facing a very serious problem. I hope the bastard who caused this will cross my path one day. |
