Mostly American and British races, since most other races part of the America Tour (check UCI site by going to the calendar for road racing) aren't in yet.

*Ok Since the Daily db patch has come out I have restarted. You can review the updated squad, and goals on the first page. January and February results will be updated as well so look out for that.

Tour of the Reservoir

Sorry my game crashed before the replay. I think I know why, so it shouldn't happen next time, but no guarantees.

This is our first race of the season and we want it to be a memorable one. I think we should get the results we expect, because or whole team has been training hard in the off-season to get ready for today. And with the temperature being 2 celcius and raining, it should be quite a stage.

Like we had planned we got in the BOTD. De Luna and Euser, and rode to keep warm while others around them kept attacking their guts out. Eventually though, they would stop and the break was formed. Nothing really happened, until 30km to go, with the BOTD still 4 minutes ahead, we started to beleive, we could stay away. De Luna started to pull extra hard on the front of the BOTD to set up an attack for Euser, the stronger of them both. With 6km to go the break was shattered, and was now 6 groups of about 2 and with a lead of just over 1.30 to the peloton. This is when Cameron Evans from SpiderTech, attacked, but could not create a gap. Euser got the wheel of Roche from Motorpoint, one of his break companions, but could not follow him in the sprint. De Luna had been dropped after working tirelesly for Euser. Ilesic of Team Type 1 outsprinted the rest, and Cameron Evans came in 11th, (first rider from the peloton). Euser finished 9th.

GP de Rennes

2nd race of the season, and we should have a better, shot at a top 5 with both Van Heerden's Gilbert and David Boily.

Parisien tried to get into the break but was unsuccesful, so he came back to the bunch to help and prepare for the sprint. Throughout the day, the breakaway's gap was wittled down, and with 14km left, they were caught. With this, th psrinters teams could focus on the finish, and this dropped most of our riders as the high pace + lumpy finish = canadian riders dropped. But Chris Van Heerden, managed to stay, but was overtaken easily after starting his sprint too early. Dumoulin, the race favourite, took the stage.

Athens Twilight

img13.imageshack.us/img13/1536/athensprofile.jpg
The course looks more like that of a hilly classic, but we expect it to end up in a sprint finish more or less. Certainly some riders will get dropped on these hills, and there might be selections, but the race favourites will most likely all be in one group.

img801.imageshack.us/img801/1562/athensunsuccesfulbreak.jpg
As always we felt we didn't have the best chance at victory, so we sent David Boily in the break. They stayed away, for about 25km before being brought back with 50km to go.

img707.imageshack.us/img707/808/athensbreak.jpg
Luckily for us we got in another break, with the ultimate SpiderTech BOTD tandem; De Luna and Euser. This group stayed intact for nearly the remainder of the stage. Up until about....

img52.imageshack.us/img52/4808/athenslastlap.jpg
...here, where Euser tries his bid for a solo victory as he goes under the start/finish line to begin the final lap of the race course. With the peloton only 37 seconds behind, this won't be easy.

img204.imageshack.us/img204/7492/athenswinner.jpg
And after what we thought was a successful lead-out we watched as Gilbert and Christoff Van Heerden both slipped away in the last km. Julian Dean barely outsprints, Kroon, and the Endura duo of Robert Hayles and Ian Wilkinson for the win. Still 6th is not bad. Cobbles race tommorow.

East Midlands Classic

img820.imageshack.us/img820/9274/midlandsprofile.jpg
This stage is filled with cobble sections, something our team doesn't fancy, so we will get in the break with as many riders as possible and really make the peloton work hard to bring us back.
Game crashed before Replay. Was risking it on higher settings that obviously didn't pay off.

So the stage began in nice warm temps and off and on sunshine. We managed to get 3 of our riders in the break along with 3 riders from other teams. White of UnitedHealth was the strongest of the rest. At 20km to go everyone was destroyed from all the hard work, but were still holding on, and in the sprint the Belgian cobblers/sprinters cleaned up...

SRAM Tour of Gila

So the end of the month is approaching. As one of our goals for the season after not getting invited to the AToC we will try to show the organizers they made the right desicion in inviting us to the race this year. If we want to prove to the Amgen Tour of California organizers they made the wrong desicion we will have to work double time. BMC looks like the powerhouse of all the squads, but there are a few teams with one or two very strong riders. BMC's one-two punch of Kroon and Santambrogio should be very hard to beat, as other strong riders in a supporting role are also here for BMC. HTC- Colombia also have a very strong squad. Our goal is to out-perform the second tier squads like UnitedHealth, Kelly Benefits, Endura and Fly V. Our squad we brought should favour climbing but I think we will have a chance in the mass sprints as well.

SRAM Tour of Gila Stage 1:

img832.imageshack.us/img832/7816/gila1profile.jpg
This stage has a mountain top finish but is fairly short and not too steep so it could be classified as a hilly sprint finish. That doesn't mean it will be easy though. Henao and David Boily are our designated captains, and will be protected throughout the stage.

img689.imageshack.us/img689/8162/gila1unsuccesfulbreak.jpg
In the first 5km a lot of riders tried to get in a break. But the peloton (BMC) probably didn't like the ammount of riders in the break and it was chased back quickly.

img210.imageshack.us/img210/6443/gila1break.jpg
Alexander Wetterhall was the lone man in the break. I guess BMC really didn't want that many riders to escape.

img687.imageshack.us/img687/8148/gila1break2.jpg
With the final climb looming Wetterhall is still alone up front. His gap is slowly diminishing though.

img691.imageshack.us/img691/458/gila1breakcatch.jpg
And now the catch at the foot of the climb. BMC are really working hard!

img180.imageshack.us/img180/747/gila1bmcwork.jpg
This is the first group on the road and 85% of it is BMC. Henao is in the group but he is struggling after two botched attempts at breaking away.

img715.imageshack.us/img715/9736/gila1santambrogioattack.jpg
With 6.5km left Santambrogio attacks and gets a massive gap on the rest. BMC keep pulling hard though, and start to bring him back in the next 2km.

img695.imageshack.us/img695/4038/gila1groups.jpg
This is the 2nd group on the road containing, Bauer (Endura), Velits (HTC), Stalder (BMC) and Kroon (BMC). Sergio Henao is in the 3rd group on the road approx 25 seconds back of this group.

img835.imageshack.us/img835/624/gila1winner.jpg
Santambrogio takes the easy victory, with the 2nd group starting to sprint for the line.

img813.imageshack.us/img813/7527/gila1seconds.jpg
Stalder finished 2nd to make a 1-2 finish for BMC after the team worked very, very hard to get the team leaders in position.

img835.imageshack.us/img835/2636/gila1henao.jpg
And the 3rd group on the road finishing, not too far behind the 2nd, containing, De Maar, and Henao most notably.

Now I see a total fail of the DailyDB, they haven't put Jack Bauer as the national champion of New Zealand. That is a total fail Pfft

Well it could be the db, being the 2010 champs.
Doesn't Endura just use a small band on the front of the jersey anyway?
Where is it in your sig?

olabj
He wasn't there when they launched the team, he and JAson Christie was in New Zealand to ride the NC Wink But you can see it clearly here: https://www.cyclingweekly.co.uk/imageB...3b0c08.jpg. And about those stripes. They are just for those countries in the GB that isn't the official GB championships, but rather some "unofficial" championship for that country, for example the Scotland and Wales stripes on the jersey Smile

Well its probably not the daily db's fault, I have had a few db problems over the last few days.
