Sorry, I've been off the internet almost all week (new place, new job, blablabla), so I missed most of the virus story.
How or where did they get it ? Was there no other team around or other people not related to sky who got it at the same time or place ?
I'm a bit confused here...
All we know is everyone on the team (riders+staff) got the virus. Meanwhile, in a completely unrelated note, a soigneur died of a bacterial infection.

In today's Reverse Aneurysm moment, I leave you with Brailsford's angry response to a journalist when Wiggins imploded at the Tour:
Worry? Why would I worry? It's a bike race, it's not like anyone dies.

Why bring that up?

And it's really not ironic either - it just emphasises the sense in which he was right. |

Well, obviously dying is part of living, I have no problem with irony in those moments, etc. People being over-serious when someone died, especially when it's someone they didn't know (nor personally, neither as a public person), is beyond my understanding abilities.
Maybe I'm just too nihilist at times... |

Floyd Landis can sue Lance on behalf of the U.S. state for because of the sponsor money from U.S. postal.
Because of his suspected doping use..
And if the state wins the case, Floyd will have 30% of the compensation for solving the case |

So he's going to sue someone because of a wrongdoing he committed, and then get paid for it?

There are some strange laws in the USA, and that Landis is paid for sneaking on Armstrong is not the way other countries deal with that. Kohl didn´t get any money, and Werner Franke, who sued Ullrich, now has debts...

First he has to prove that Lance defrauded the Federal Government, then he has to prove that Lance retaliated against Landis for his whistleblowing. The first instance, he has a chance of proving. Good luck with the second part. Incredibly tough to prove. |

Czech riders "almost dominated" on MB championship!!
WC title and several other medals in fourcross and Jaroslav Kulhavy finished 2nd after Hermida in Cross country! Awesome season for him, I´m curious if he´ll change mountain biking for road in future (hope so)

The whistle blower law is actually really smart. The idea is that you get a monetary reward for taking the huge risk of coming out and accusing who you work for of breaking the law.
Landis is saying that because Lance and US Postal were his employers, his "whistleblowing" on the doping fits under the law. I personally don't think it does, but he does have a decent case (and needs the money).
I think he is banking on Lance getting indicted in criminal court, and being willing to settle the civil case out of court (of which Landis gets a 30% cut), to focus on the one that really matters. |

I can't really see how it's Lance who has frauded the U.S. government - It's the U.S. postal team direction who have signed the deal with US Postal, and I think that the team direction were aware of the drug abuse in the team? |
