Try this
Hower, it's a crash on 1st October, I've for some weird reason, forget to include the stage file for Paris-Bourges. So to solve it, just copy antoher stage and call it 98_c3_bourges

If you're focusing on stages, just played the Trofeo Manacor and there are intermediate and KOM sprints set. Bit meaningless as it's set as a one day race and looking at the results doesn't seem the sprints mean anything.
Looking forward to attempting the double with Pantani though. What a 1998 .db is all about I suppose... |

This is really a great DB you guys have come up with
I wanted to add a few extra races but I can't seem to open the DB with the Advanced Editor, all I get is a folder with an Export file. Is there some other way to open this DB? |

It does work fine  . Apparently the Editor doesn't like empty spaces between words. I just had to insert a couple of "_" in the DB name. My bad. Thank's anyway.

A really great DB, enjoying it a lot. Only downside is that you have to buy equipment again (my game is a lot faster because of it though )
Only bug i found so far is a mistake with the jersey of Simoni's team. Saved as the wrong size, easily fixable but i thought i'd let you know.
Also, the most admirable thing are the stages and the palmares. That must have taken a looooooooooooong time, rly good job!
And, it's possible to add these varients myself to an already existing carreer, wright?

Thanks for the jersey thing. Weird bug that should have been spotted before the release.
The variants will work as in any other DB. You can add variants during your career. But you have to check the descr-file, so the year the variants will appear are correct. The starting year is 1998, so you have to ifx the year with that.
And yes, it took ages with all those stages and palmares. Most of the time I've spend making the DB were used on stage making.

Candido Barbosa: Spain --> Portuguese

Again, flaws that should been spotted before the release.
I will consider a V2, it's not much stuff needed to be fixed, just some small stuff.

my game crashes during the loading of Milano-Sanremo and Paris-Tours ( when it's loading "Leader Type or something like that.)
what can i do?

When I go into the Calender during career mode a lot of races aren't showing in the upper right corner box!
Sometimes they will be shown if i choose the race from the racelist (Left side row) but as soon as I deselect the race it disappears again.
Sometimes the race will appear if I mouse over it's racedate (upper left corner box again ) but there's no graphic indication of the race.
Don't know if it's a bug or what? (tried a fresh install. but that didn't change anything).

sam1196: Under career or a single race? I did experience crashes under a single race when making the DB. But didn't care much about it when non of my testers experienced the same.
pcm1309: Don't know what that bug is or seen it before, but maybe it has something to do with the total change with the calendar.

After you've tried a couple of times it should work. Maybe change the DB to another one and back to 98 DB again.

1. Copy stages into CM_Stages
2. Copy .descr file into CM_Stages/variant and change the rule to gave this .descr in it
3. Start a new career to have a DYN_Variant_stage including the new variant
4. Use the full editor v4 and import the new save game and copy the whole table DYN_Variant_Stage (You don`t need the new career any longer, can be deleted)
5. Open your save game with the full editor v4 and paste this whole table into the one of your save game
6. You have to overwrite some parts. (All existing variants in your save will be overwritten plus the new variant is there)
7. Then save, export a new db and continue this as your save game. Nothing changed but the variant is now there as you have written in your rules |

And what if i have the variants from the daily db? ¿should i change something before starting a new career with the 1998 db? I mean if i could use those variants i could save the 3.5 G variants download. I suppose i'm going to have to change something related to the years and stuff.

Hi ! I'm a newbie.
I just dl this great update (thanks !). I've just made a start list for the Tour de France, but the game doesn't find it, and I don't understand why ...
This is the first time I create a start list, but I don't think I did wrong.
I put the file " Tour de France " (.xml format) in my documents / pcm 2010 / Import. I used the ID of the PCMNorge 98 DB.
