Let's be honest. Commando raids against Iran would be pretty badass. First off Israel would take care of the Iranian nuclear program, and somebody would make a sweet movie about. Two birds with one war.

My two cents: nationalism=bad.
As is religion. Which, given scientific evidence is just absolutely hilarious that people still somehow think is true

Even though I said absolutely nothing like that, "someone" (name withheld, obviously) came to tell me on messenger after I posted that, that you'd do your best to turn this into an argument.
You're usually rational. But whenever a subject that is even remotely connected to Judaism comes to the fore, you turn into a troll. It's tiring.

Nationalism is what has kept the Jewish people alive for the last three and a half thousand years, so no, it isn't stupid. And we're going to get a nice reminder about that thanks to cycling in 5 days.
Nationalism has kept them alive?
I can't begin to count the ways in which that is ridiculous.
Anyway, Godwin's law. Whatever argument there was, you've lost it.
Here's a hint: next time I mention that I'm appalled at the attitude of the israelis that I've personally met, try not to act like it's a curse on anything Jewish. It has nothing to do with religion, and your attitude is not just annoying. It's discriminatory and bigoted.
However much you refuse to admit it, you know full well that the fact you react by foaming at the mouth anytime anyone dares to suggest someone israeli isn't perfect, just shows how bigoted you really are. You mention those who have persecuted the jewish, but you're just as bigoted as they are. You have the same ridiculous ideas of superiority, that certain people are perfect and nothing can be said of them unless it's overwhelmingly positive.
Which is why I'm done with this.
Grow up.

Wait, hold on, I read too much into something? As you wrote
Sadly, every person from that poster's country I've ever met (in person) has been like that. Which, to me, was suprising, horrifying and disgusting in equal measure.
To which I replied there is a damn good reason that they are, for reasons involving being persecuted because of religion.
You then pulled Godwin's Law out, for no specific reason, and preceded to say I'm a bigoted idiot for saying that a people who have a history of getting killed everywhere they have ever lived are not terrible people for having an attitude that is used as a mechanism to defend themselves in a place where they once again are significantly under threat.
And the dumbest thing you did was try and separate Israell from Judaism. I don't even know were to start on that.

Being Jewish is far more than being a follower of the Jewish religion. There is a reason most people consider it to be an ethnicity. |

News in August:
(back to cycling... cough)
Pre-released, hidden, not meant to be told cycling domestic UK scene news:
Yanto Barker is rumoured to be setting up his own team (again), probably under the name of something like Le Col - Colnago (again). Who will be in that team? Yanto, Steve Lampier and Chris Opie. The latter two both ride with Yanto currently at Pendragon - Le Col- Colnago, and will probably leave with him.
Pendragon, whatever name they will fall under, have supposedly "signed" Marcin Biobolocki, Will Bergfelt and one more from the Big Maggys squad. To those who don't know the UK amateur scene, Marcin is a big Polish bloke who was pretty much the only guy to be able to cope with Russell Downing's domination last season of the Premier Calender races. This year he's consistantly good at everything he does, but I don't think he's won anything big yet (correct me if I'm wrong).
Why do these bits of information matter?
Pendragon are aiming to go Continental next season (I no longer know if they will because of the "split", and I presume that Yanto will want to go Continental too.

It's called Judaism. Perhaps it might be good to learn that?
Also, on a previous post of yours, hate to tell you, but every Religion [followers of] is persecuted in countless countries across the globe, it's not the World vs. You. It really isn't.

True, but give me another religion that gets anywhere close to the amount we've had to endure and I'll buy you a cookie.
And Jewish religion and Judaism are interchangeable, I hear Jewish religion just as often if not more.

An ethnicity which means you have to follow the Jewish religion (a patently ridiculous religion (as with all others if you look at the evidence))
Anyway, as an ex-moderator (yea, I'm pulling no rank whatsoever), I'll stick my neck out here and say move this to Café Pedro or PMs or msn, it's not News in August.

This has to be discussed in the off-topic section...or is it just me? Strange cycling news I think |

Gentlemen, gentlemen back to your corners. Let's return the discussion back to cycling. You are not going to get anywhere with talks on nationalism, religion or politics. This is not the place for it.
I don't even have a horse in this race and some of the comments are pretty insulting. I don't think you guys know how insulting the comments you are making actually are. |

*sighs*
Richie Porte is yet to re-sign with SaxoBank. My thinking is that he'll be the new GC blokey for them. Probably put into the Tour next season will unreasonable expectations upon his shoulders, to which he will deliver upon.

Dont that make him yet another guy who left US Postal/Discovery and then tested positive?

Just one? I can name Postal riders who tested positive while riding for the team.
Heck, I can name one who got caught with drugs on him by the italian police.

Meanwhile, the power outputs figures have finally surfaced on cyclismag. Contador and Schleck were both less powerful than last year, of course Contador lost a bit more than Schleck.
Still, despite the quite coward racing, the figures are high, too high to be natural that is.
Yeah, same level as Armstrong-Basso in prime era in fact.
