Search what?
1. Column names: To find the table the column is in.
2. Content within a column: To find the row.
3. Content within a table: To find the row and cell.
4. Content overall: To find the table, the row and cell. |

I think 3, searching names i guess, so you don't have to sort something and then search it manually.

yes, basically it was meant to jump to some specific expression, which is inserted in a cell of a single table.
(like searching for expression "akhatuntsev" or "<gene_sz_tga_photo>akhatuntsev</gene_sz_tga_photo>" in DYN_cyclist.xml for example, while you opened the xml file in some xml editor or some other text based editor).
but i told it in that general way to prevent from limiting your fantasy |

- Table subsets: To display only a subset of the columns of one table
Lachi, does this suggestion mean that you are able to deselect columns so that they are no longer shown?
If not, can you please add this feature if possible. (I there are some columns that i never edit, like the day and month of birth, and it would be good to hide them to make it easier to find the columns i want) |

LoStaffan:
Implementing a unneeded feature is just wasted time, so fantasy does not help much. I will try to do a search within a selected column.
drd23:
I the actual version you can move all columns. If you move uninteresting columns to the end you will not see them until you scroll.
But yes, in a future version you will be able to:
- hide columns (always hidden until you activate them again)
- define subsets (view only a group of columns, all others are hidden) |

Don't know if it has anything to do with the editor or with me, but i get errors from time to time that close down the editor. Before closing down this screen appears :
It does ask me to save first after this screen, and then it closes down. I get this in most tables when i try to change a value (changing race number, a stat, money, ...)
Nontheless, a great editor, awesome job!

How do you edit the value? On the picture the cell is empty which could be a reason.
If you could find a way to reproduce this error, then it would be easier for me to find the error. |

1. I have tried it on many different ways (editing). I click the cell, type in my value, it happens. Select the content of the cell, type in my value, it happens. I delete the content from the cell and type in mine, it happens (example of screenie). It happens at random times when editing something i guess.
2. With reproduce, you mean ..?

Reproduce would mean: It does crash every time if you do a certain action.
Examples:
1. It always crashes if you edit the third cell in the second row, but not on other cells.
2. It always crashes if you edit values in a sub-table but not in the main table.
I will have to look what LINKS is. Maybe I had a similar problem with my season planner, so I go dig in the old threads. |

Might it be me?

Might be a general case in the Dutch Vista version, although this is the first time coming across it, so could be way off, no clue.

I googled some more and it seems to be a combination of Dutch Vista, WPF (the interface) and mouse gestures (I didn't even know my program recognizes them).
You could download the fix on this microsoft page: https://code.msdn....aseId=3230
Hint: look at the end of the file name to find the correct file for your Windows Vista. x64 would be for Vista 64bit, x86 would be for Vista 32bit.
If you do not want to install it, I could try to fix it in my program. but I would need to read about the side effects of the fix first.

I'll try with the fix, and report if it happens again. It's not like a can't edit at all, it's just slows me down when it happens.
I'll yet you know and thx.
Edit: On first time it seems to work

do you have .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 installed?
maybe it's also some solution to upgrade to .NET Framework 4 at all ... instead of using a hotfix?
Since the bug seems .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1 related...
Edit: Ok, too late

It should work with all databases because it uses the same logic as the full editor. |

you have to edit the team Id in the dyn_cyclist column. I dont remember the number but just look for someone you know is a Free rider and use the same team ID as him. |

fkIDteam value "119" means free rider ... also you might change his fkIDcontract to value "0" and perhaps remove his contract column from DYN_contract_cyclist at all. additionally you can remove his trainer ... either ingame or by setting fkIDstaff_trainer value to "798" in DYN_cyclist table... |

semmellance1 is playing PCM 09 so the default coach might not be 798.
But as far as I know he wants to release the rider from another team so that he can contract him. In that case the coach does not matter.
The fkIDteam should be set to 119. Also the contract should be deleted.
But I think there is another column in DYN_cyclist which needs the right value to be able to contact a rider, but I never did I so I cannot remember. So just try it with the team ID and deleting the contract. |

ahh Ok ... just read the latest few posts.
well, then the further change you might mean is to set fkIDcyclist_future to value "8" (for PCM2010; not sure for PCM2009) in DYN_cyclist. but then i don't get, why he not just only set the fkIDteam value of the rider in DYN_cyclist and DYN_contract_cyclist to the value of his very own team |
