Network setup is never easy.
Do you have a static IP?
Did you open the ports for that IP?
What's your network setup exactly (modem -> wireless router ...)? |

"Automatic configuration - DHCP" is what it is right now (I think)
No, I'd chose the IP from cmd -> ipconfig/all
Wireless router.
-------------------
So I have to choose Static IP and open the ports for THAT IP?
But is there any disadvantages? The only things that is "on" the wireless router is my computer, XBOX and my moms laptop.

Well, in my home, I'm using a static IP on this computer while all other devices usually use a dynamic IP. Works fine.
So yes, if you open the ports for one IP only and set your computer to use that IP, it should work. |

But. As standard - when I open ports - I can only write the last digit in the IP. So it is 192.168.1.x I have tried with 1 and 100. Nothing works.
But the problem is that when i choose the Static IP I can't log into GameCenter, MSN etc.?

And after writing e.g. 192.168.1.150, what do you do? Did you set up the static IP in your computer's control panel? |

I don't have any ideas. I did this:
1) To choose Static IP in the Setup menu on the router
2) check the new Static IP which was something with 10.0.0.x which doesn't fit with the 192.168.1.x standard on the portforwarding part.
Really, I have no ideas where to do every single thing. I can do the basic things but everytime I edit something I can't open GameCenter, MSN etc.

I've tried to edit something here because my brother-in-law made it work here once. But as usual - nothing works.

You don't need to set it to Static in the Setup menu. Set it to dynamic or whatever it usually is.
You need to change it in the network properties:
Find your connection, right click it, select properties. Find the TCP/IPv4, mark it and select properties again.
This is where you type in the IP that picked when you opened the port. |

Yep, that's the window you need to change.
As said, change the connection type to dynamic in the router's options. After that, manually change the options in the window you just showed me a screenshot of.
You can get the details that you need to type in by double clicking the connection, then picking "details". All you need to change is the IP number which needs to match the one from the port opening page.

The problem is that when I write the IP, Gateway and so on I can't log in to GamCenter.
