Yesterday my DR team went quite well:
1. Mark Cavendish
2. Alessandro Petacchi
3. Tyler Farrar
4. Jose Joaquin Rojas Gil
5. Robbie McEwewn
8. Lloyd Mondory
10. Gerald Ciolek
11. Sebastien Turgot
12. Edvald Boasson Hagen
Today I have picked:
Edvald Boasson Hagen
Anthony Charteau
Jerome Pineau
Nicolas Roche
Thomas Voeckler
Joaquin Rodriguez Oliver
Samuel Sanchez
Alberto Contador
Andy Schleck
Will be fun to see if I get some of the escapees right.
Btw, going away for the weekend, so what are your thoughts on the 2 upcoming stages. Tomorrow, and the day after?
Will it be a sprint tomorrow, and the big guns the day after or what can we expect?

I think Samuel Sanchez or Jens Voigt if he can hang in the front group through the day, Sanchez he has a descent sprint and can climb and Voigt powerful punchey rider.
sanchez now is on the third place, which is the only places thatg the mortals can reach. (Contador and Schleck are too far away for the rest). So there will be a big fight for this third place, so nobody will allow Sanchez to go.
i bet for Purito, he has an incredible punch uphill during short mountains!! |

Navarro and Tiralongo will crush all the field, then Andy Schleck attacks and only Contador can follow. It will end up with a sprint between those two, and Schleck will win

I expect Rodriguez, specialist on short ultra-steep climbs, to follow this time...
Would not be the first time Rodriguez succeeded in doing that on these type of hills |

3rd cat climb. We have a split.
On the wrong side of the split: Petacchi, Armstrong, Kloden, McEwen, Farrar

Wow this pace is intense - no one is getting out of the pack.
Oh and Pineau had to go to the race doctor after taking a fall with Thomas. If he is hurt to any degree he might not be able to continue to contest the Mountain jersey.
EDIT: And like that Charteau goes clear over the top.

isn't it funny how teams want to win green, but yet they constantly let him escape.

Brilliant! But he was beaten by Bole in the sprint. Well, well, 4 points is better than 0 points.

Intermediate sprint: Bole, Hushovd, Sivtsov.
Hushovd is now equal to Petacchi on points, but Petacchi keeps green due to more stage wins.

it's a great tactic, a well known one. One the teams interested in the compeition should be aware of.

Why lame? He is winning that jersey through very hard work. I find that admirable.

I know..I know..but I prefer to see how one of tour top sprinter to take that jersey..
Thor did it a year ago (where he was much faster)..and is after anoher one (when he trouble to keep himself inside top 6 when mass sprint comes)

As doddy said, it is incredible that Lampre even allowed Thor to go. It can hardly be a surprise that he would try something like this.
