A break of 34 will go Le Mevel, Moreau, Voeckler etc, with Armstrong.
This stage has his name all over it imo.
I was actually thinking the same of Fedrigo, but seeing it's the national holiday, Bbox might opt for Voeckler.
It's not Pro Cycling Manager..
I think Fedrigo is a good bet too btw. If Casar hadn't won today I would have said it's got his name written allover it. It's not a foregone conclusion that a Frenchman will win though. |

Agreed. I can see him trying for the first sprint point though.
The Cote de Laffrey will get rid of all the sprinters, the col du Noyer will make sure they won't come back.
Well the Vittel - Colmar stage last year proved that he can stay with the peloton over tough mountains. I bet that he wil stay with the pack until the finish. |

Hushovd is weaker this year, he was injured in the spring, was sick just before the tour and he was sick again today, having nausea and felling like he had to puke. |

I know, but he showed strength at both the Spa stage and the cobbled one. In addition he did great at the NC, which was quite hilly. |

These are not Vosges mountains, these are Alps. Totally different style of climb.

How is that? And also temperature could be a problem, he doesn't really like strong heat. |

I think it could be a day for Pauriol or Roche, Cofidis not really done a lot in this tour, been in a few breaks but havent really had a chance to win a stage and Roche, slipping down GC, missed out on a stage win in the tour last year, I think he will go for stage wins now.

This is an excellent stage for Bastille Day - very rouleury. Here's hoping Voeckler can pull it out - the Romantic within me likes the idea of the French national champion winning on Bastille Day. |

Ehhm? Hushovd is much better in anything else than sprinting this year.
