They're far from being the most boring team. Gutierrez had a go on one stage and Perget has been active in a few breakaways. I think both of them got the prize for most aggressive rider. |

Best rider: Hesjedal – Garmin’s annual surprise package
Best stage: Arenberg – mayhem at its very best.
Best team: Hate to say it, but Astana – despite everyone saying the team would crack, they kept their leader safe on the cobbles and right the way up the final climb today.
Worst rider: Brett Lancaster – have not heard his name at all throughout this Tour and he’s meant to be Hushovd’s lead-out man.
Worst stage: Stage to Spa – what was the point? They didn’t neutralise the Eroica finish in the Giro, nor the one to L’Aquila.
Worst team: Radioshack for backing Armstrong 100% – the dejected face of Brajkovic said it all to me. They were also meant on paper to be dominant in the mountains – not a chance.
Bonus awards!
Most boring team: Radioshack - sat back on every stage preparing for Lance to leap skywards once the Tour hit the mountains – only for him to crack on the first proper slope.
Stupid decision of the week: “Pain is temporary. Quitting lasts forever.” Sorry Lance, but you’ve got to live with the decision to sit up at the bottom of the climb for all eternity.

Two random thoughts:
1. It's going to be veeeeeery interesting to see what Samuel does in this Tour. He's usually far better in the third week in every GT he does.
2. As I was saying before the Tour, Contador has raced A LOT. He can't possibly be at his best. While Andy is yet to peak for anything. He's likely in absolute top form.

They didnt back him 100%, Leipheimer and Kloden stayed ahead.

Armstrong fell... he doesn't like very hot temperatures, and it is since the start, he hasn't lost 11minutes because of his weakness, he has lost 2 minutes because of it, and then let it go, which was, despite I'd love to see him once again on the podium, the right thing to do I think. |

That's what I dislike about the situation. I would have loved to see Lance get dropped without the fan boys (not saying you are one, though) being able to excuse it with the fact that LA had crashed before-hand. |

I'm one (fan boy) but can admit coming in that I didn't expect him to win or even make the podium. Just kind of disappointing that it had to end with 3 crashes, and not battling it out with the top climbers. I still hope he can manage a stage win in his last year of tour.

You can tell it, I don't really care since I guess I'm one in my way. He may be weaker than the others, we'll see it, but the things that happened didn't help him anyway.
I just find it "sad" that someone can love to see a rider being dropped... I can't bear Moreau nor Vinokourov, but I can't say I was happy to see them weak, I just don't care. |

Deja-vu! Cadel in yellow in the rest day, same as 2008. I hope he will keep it untill stage 14 at least. |

Best rider: Mark Renshaw One 2nd place and two brilliant lead-outs.
Best stage: Stage 7
Best team: Astana and BBox The only teams, which have showed strenght.
Worst rider: That rider who fucks his a hog or something in the ass after every stage to hide his hematocrite level. Yesterday, he got it himself, which ended up in him not able to keep himself on the bike the whole stage.
Worst stage: The prologue
Worst team: Cervelo Does only relay when the pack is going slow, and never support their captains in the crucial moments, because they are not good enough.
Most boring team: Radioshack Although it was not boring when Armstrong got dropped today.
Stupid decision of the week: Me forgetting to change riders on my fantasy team, which ended in a point sum around 7% of the best's.

Best rider: Andy Schleck - He made up for his prologue with an impressive run on Stage 3 and a win today.
Best stage: Prologue - The atmosphere in Amsterdam was amazing and the results came down to the end when Cancellara beat Martin at the end. There were several surprises (Armstrong's last hurrah, Wiggins failing).
Best team: Quick Step - They came to the TdF without Boonen, but Chavanel and Pineau have worn colored jerseys for multiple days.
Worst rider: all American riders - Armstrong struggled with flat tires and crashes aplenty, then sunk like a rock today. Leipheimer is not up front, Vande Velde is out, Farrar hasn't been involved in sprints, etc.
Worst stage: Stage 2 - It appeared we would get a sprint finish as the peloton rapidly caught Chavanel, but Cancellara tells the peloton to stop working and wait for everyone.
Worst team: Team RadioShack - They looked amazing on paper but have done absolutely nothing so far.
Most boring team: Saxo Bank - So boring it ruined a whole stage (2).
Stupid decision of the week: Letting Chavanel expand his lead to about four minutes on Stage 2. |

I haven't read one quote from anyone blaming the crash. Apologizes if I missed it but I have read at least three posts about fanboys blaming the crash. Enjoy the moment, the LA bashers have waited a long time for it. It is good to see that fans are as poor at winning as they are at losing. |

Thor has a valid excuse though. His broken collarbone. He only trains sprints after the classics and that period was basically destroyed by the injury. |

ABridgeTooFar: I wouldn't say it unless I had read it - and believe me, there's plenty of that kind of posts, especially on Cyclingnews. Examples:

In fairness he did crash. That being said even under the best of circumstances I doubt anyone expect Armstrong to be able to put that much time into his competitors at any point, even before this. He doesn't need to lose that much time to be out of the race even if he's much stronger after the rest day.

What this thread lacks, is a post with a blatant British bias. So:
Best rider: Geraint Thomas
Best stage: Stage 5
Best team: Sky
Worst rider: Hushovd
Worst stage: Stage 4
Worst team: Lampre (Nothing Brit related, theyre just last in the teams classification)
Bonus awards!
Most boring team: Radioshack
Stupid decision of the week: Wiggins trying to dodge the rain in the prologue
