Prudhomme has said he likes these moyenne montagne stages. Personally, I think they'll contribute very little unless someone is desperate for time (i.e. later on in the Tour)

I belive the GC-guys will take it easy, but Cadel Evans and Andy Schleck could try to attack in the final hills. In the end I think this is a nice stage for a breakaway win. Maybe Simon Gerrans, or Thomas Voeckler. It would have been great to see Voeckler win in the french national jersey.

What does the octopus predict?
I think that a break should get away but I beleive and hope that there will still be selections between all of the favourites on the last hill.

Another good HTC video after they won yesterday. I hope we get to see some attacks at the end of the stage today. |

Also, check out this: https://nos.nl/vid...inish.html
Some idiot knocked McEwen off his bike at the end of the stage and only got a 1 day ban. |

Hello, a small question, please
Why are so huge climbs on stages 9 (Col de la Madeleine) and 14 (Port de Pailhères) non-categorised? |

There are categorised as HC (Hord de categorie), meaning out of category. They are the hardest mountains, harder than category 1 climbs. |

Oh, thanks I was confused by the NC mark, they should be rather marked as HC simply |

I am calling it now. Voeckler finishes a morale crushing second after being caught by the eventual winner who jumped away from the pack, who will be a Sanchez, Sastre will lose time, Farrar will crash and Contador will do his little pistol thing thinking he's won.
And if I am wrong I owe me lunch.

I hope there's another fight today. I'm on Evans to hit someone. |

No chance. If Thomas arrived with the first group, Cancellara will be there, too.
Thomas isn`t really a climber, not better than Cancellara on this terrain I guess. |

Very interesting to see Danilo Hondo in breakaway. Remember stage to Peio Terme on this year's Giro? German did surprisingly well that day, and today's stage is even easier. May be fun to see him fighting with Pineau and Knees for stage win. |

Thomas can climb though, and he is still improving. He was something like 21st in the Dauphine, and the British National champs was a tough course.
While it is still largely unknown how well he will climb in the Tour, you shouldnt be so quick to rule him out.

I won`t but Cancellara won TDS, today it`s similar to TDS mountains. Maybe both of them will arrive in first group, but then still Cance has the jersey. |

Arashiro is doing a great job in the peloton now, dragging the break back on his own. He clearly shows that he has serious plans for both this stage, tomorrow, to not mention the Pyrenees and the GC!
Watch out, the japanese is finally showing why he hasn't been in the breakaways so far; he has saved energy, now he can bring the break back on his own, and later today walk away from the peloton for a nice stage win |
