Open your Savegame with the Editor and change the team to the empty one. Then he will be free agent.
With the converter change the team to 119, that`s also the free agent pool.

Cym Italy presented the db realname compatible with patch 1.0.1.8
This are the correction:
Here the realname compatible with patch 1.0.1.8
- all jersey, minijersey, logos, race logos corrected;
- equipment without name corrected;
- name races, date races and some file for stage (vuelta a murcia, ost.rund e altre) thanks to people that works at this stages (Daniano, Alteacke, McEwen, Johan, ecc)
- photos for 80% of riders;
- pistard with 8-8-8 character, real name and photos;
- equipment in dds (fix texture in tga);
- add australian ITT championship
For the installation:
- open folder CYM Italy realname and put CM_TExtures, CM_Meshes, GUI folders in c/program/cyanide/pcm2010
- the db in database folder, must be put in documents/pcm2010/database

there is a crash on 28 february because I wrong to write the name of one stage for fix this problem you can download this folder, and after put the two files in c/program/cyanide/pcm2010/cm_stages

Installed CD-version of PCM10 today and patch 1.0.1.8, but the tourmalet-bug was still there. So I copied the right stage to CM_stages.
