I was thinking it might be a good idea to put a list on the first topic of the most prized expiring contracts, and update it, no?
Daniele Bennati
Matti Breschel
Alberto Contador
Damiano Cunego
Stijn Devolder
André Greipel
Leif Hoste
Roman Kreuziger
Carlos Sastre
Andy Schleck
Frank Schleck
Greg van Avermaet
Let's see, Bennati is a bit of an ass and never gets along with anyone, so I expect him to move teams yet again. Maybe McEwen's replacement at Katusha? who knows
Contador, I'll bet my left testicle he's going to Caisse, more than likely sponsored next season by Santander (instead of Caisse)
Cunego, his agent says Cervélo and Garmin have enquired about him
Devolder, Armstrong asked Bruyneel to sign him, according to Radioshack DS Dirk Demol
Van Avermaet is "Likely to be joining BMC" by his own admission
The Schlecks are waiting on the Saxo Bank situation and on whoever throws more money at them.
Lotto have a huge truckload of money available that they haven't been able to use on anyone, and I'm sure they're doing all they can to get both Greipel and Kreuziger. Not to mention Hoste's at odds with the team and may leave, freeing up even more money.
EDIT: Sorry, "First post of this topic", not "first topic". Apologies. I seem to be having tremendous difficulty with my lifestyle.

Freire extends his contract with Rabobank to 2011. He expects that to be his final season.

Mancebo signs with Kastro Heraklion Murcia... does that ring a bell to anyone?
He's scheduled to race Volta ao Alentejo (or La Vuelta al Alentejo as cyclingnews puts it), Tour de Beauce, Spanish champs and Vuelta a Venezuela.

Tuttosport are insane (do not confuse with Tuttobiciweb who tend to break news earlier than most people and be very reliable).
They say Cancellara is going to BMC, the Schlecks to Astana, Contador to Caisse (that one's obviously going to happen), Cunego to Sky, Scarponi to Lampre and Ginanni to AG2R

Surprise, Surprise not Greipel to Omega-Pharma its Ciolek.
That officially means no German Pro Tour Team next year. Its the same as with Gerolsteiner they say the whole year they are in good talks and close to a deal, in the end they will disolve.

Hope he will get a few more victories there. Lotto should have a good train for him. This was always a big problem with Milram. Good position between 5 - 2 km to go, but then no one left in the final km. |

When he was leading out Cavendish in 2008, he was one of the worlds top sprinters, maybe 3rd or 4th something like that.
His move to Milram made him near invisible in sprints. Hopefully this will change that.

He wasn`t that bad especially if you think about the weakness of Milram on the last 5km.
2009 - 1st uelta a España, Stage 2
3rd Vattenfall Cyclassics
3rd Tour de France Point Jersey
7 times Top10 Tour de France (1x Top3)
Of course he had a few better results in 2008 with Columbia like 5 times Top 3 Tour de France. But he was injured a lot of times the last 2 years.
But normally he should win more stages. He had the best endspeed a lot of times but started the sorint on 20th position and finished 3rd.
With a better train there is much more possible. |

Milram just denied this transfer. Van Gerwen asked Ciolek and both said, there is no truth in it.
According to v Gerwem Milram is still talking to a few potential sponsors. |

confirms what roturn writes, but milram is still looking for a new sponsor and as long that they do not have one a transfer is still possible |

Ciolek should return to Columbia as a co-star, following Greipel's move anywhere.

Today's reports suggest that it's Greipel, not Ciolek
In addition to Greipel, Wagner from Skil-Shimano is also set to join Omega Pharma.
