1 Belgium
2 Russia (just because it's amusing, if awful)
3 Turkey
4 Iceland
5 Azerbaijan
6 Albania
7 Bosnia & Herzegovina
8 Denmark
10 Ukraine
12 Armenia
...or something like that.
Armenia just pips Ukraine for me. Catchy chorus + enourmous Apricot stone. What more can you want?
However, this is just a little unfair, since we haven't heard the 5 other finalists perform. Not that that much should be expected of course.
But where is Estonia!? I enjoyed the weirdness. And they also had the best band name

Agreed. I thought the song writer (Pete Waterman?) was supposed to be good.

Germany and France are my favourites so far.
Closely followed by Greece and Romania.
I'm going to think through my picks and decide tomorrow.

Without thinking too much into it (or allowing myself to change my mind too much):
The results from the SN vote to the PCMdaily Eurovision "game thing"
(Plus the formulaic hello in Norwegian, and compliments on the 'great show' )
1 point - Israel
2 points - Belgium
3 points - Greece
4 points - Germany
5 points - Norway
6 points - Denmark
7 points - Turkey
8 points - Russia
10 points - Cyprus *cough* Wales *cough*
12 points - Romania
(And if possible, negative points to Ireland for picking that dull crap over Justin Lee Collins)

For my own amusement I have a personal ongoing top 10 worst songs in the history of the universe list that I keep regularly updated. (Yeah, yeah, I know, I'm strange)
I was seriously considering the inclusion of a couple of songs from today, but competition is hard. Besides, the day anyone creates a song that pushes Starships's "We built this city" of the throne, the universe would probably implode out of shame anyway.
I'm not going to make a personal point allocation, but here are my few cents about how the final will unfold:
1. The presenters will keep with the ongoing tradition ever since the first Eurovision with being 5 IQ points below the previous years hosts.
2. Germany will probably win.
3. For about the tredecillionth time Greece and Cyprus will both allocate each other 12 points.
I also predict that in about 6 hours the headlines of most major Swedish newspapers will be "Country of baby seal-killers does it again. Norwegian conspiracy blocks Sweden from Eurovision final"

I got into a debate with my jingoistic (half) Canadian friend about Celine Dion and the Eurovision song contest. He said she won it, I said (as she is Canadian) that she couldn't of. I apparently was wrong, as she won it representing Switzerland.
What? How the fuck could she represent Switzerland?
Also,
