Very weird this race and even with this peloton, my team won't have any chance to score much and I've just signed in in this race because it was in the last years not very full

Ptth Bbox copycats! Benefitting by a little hills ability there. Congrats Gottfried could well get some points on hilly stages too lets see!
Perhaps more important news for the GC though as Mercado and LEGO leader Schwab lose the best part of 2 and half minutes.
Next stage hilly, time for Youtube I guess to step up.

Bbox won! Copying the tactics from stage 2 was not intended. The team just takes 1 stage at the time. And this stage was a good one for Bbox.

At last a proper stage and Delgado reveals himself with a very strong ride. No major time gaps to his rivals but perhaps a psychological blow - the top 6 on stage 4 are the six team leaders!
One more flat criterium style stage before the real action begins!

Another nice result by Bbox. Happy to see that Delgado mananged to get the same time as Didier. Would have been sad to lose the leader jersey that way, so late in the race.

Great to see a victory from a Luxembourg rider. But so late in the race? Stage 5 was less than halfway through, with the majority of the decisive stages to come.
Delgado does seem like the man to beat though in GC, while the points classification is very tight.

Disappointed with the Criterium style stages, not only are they proving unattacking but also too hilly for my sprint men - a learning experience for sure.
On the up side though my climbers are performing with real panache, Julian Rodas is really putting Delgado to the sword, though I guess at Ochoa Quintero's benefit. Nice consistency shown by my two Venezualan Chacon's also!
Stage 8's hilly 143 km test is a very dangerous stage for Delgado and an oppurtunity for his rivals. In particular Ochoa Quintero who was in stunning form in the last stage. |

Of course. But then again... I didn't say all the thumbs belonged to the same person.
Another meh result for Astarloza.

Its been a fruitful race for all involved some more than others.
I am wondering how much a rider can possibly lose in a 10km TT, I would say Ochoa has got an excellent victory for Youtube in the bag. Though you never know. Of course I suspect the battle for second place will be close. 7th and 8th and 9th and 10th are close too.
I misjudged the sprinting oppurtunities, can only hope for the best on the last stage. A learning experience but not too painful! |

True, Ochoa should have won this by now, but you never know. Especially not considering the crashes that have happened on pretty much all the flat stages. |
